WWE Monday Night Raw Results- May 11th, 2026

Tonight’s episode of Raw live from Knoxville, the women’s tag team champions will address their future challengers in the judgement day’s Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez, Iyo Sky takes on Sol Ruca, an Oba Femi open challenge, and the Roman Reign’s acknowledgement ceremony.

    Segments

The Vision accompanied by Paul Hayman opened the show after a vingette showed Adam Pierce talking to Roman Reigns who was just arriving to tonight’s show. The Vision were met in the ring by the Street Profits and then serenaded by Joe Hendry with his “Can We Fire Logan Paul” song. This led to a trios match and some “help” from Seth Rollins.

Next segment shows us the Original El Grande Americano and Bruto and Julio (the hermanos americanos) speaking to Adam Pierce who were interrupted by Dirty Dom and Liv Morgan. The AAA mega campionship was announced to be on the line tonight against the Original El Grande Americano, which is the first time this title would be defended on Raw.

Penta makes his appearance and after a commercial break calls out All Ego Ethan Page stating that he is not afraid to defense his intercontential championship. Ethan Page states that he isn’t wanting to have that shot tonight but to have it in two weeks at Saturday Night Main Event. Penta looks like he is ready to accept, however, they were both interrupted by Rusev and Je’von Evans, who came out “whoaing” like it was an episode of South Park. The segment ends with a fight and both Evans and Penta doing Penta’s signature walk in the middle of the ring and a match against Rusev.

Next, we see Iyo Sky warming up when she is met by Asuka, who grabs her in a deep embrace. Asuka tells her that she is glad it was her that won the match and how proud she is of her. Iyo tells her goodbye to which Asuka says “see you later” as they hug again. The segment ends with Asuka leaving the building with her luggage.

Brie Bella and Paige enter the arena dressed in street clothes. The announcers say that they have competitors coming at them from everywhere and will address the locker room in this segment. They say that they were called to come to Raw by Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez. Roxanne Perez remarks how she loved watching them as a kid when they were “young and relevant.” She also states how mad she is at Brie for setting the bar so low for her. Raquel verbally goes after Paige, which leads to a brawl. Liv Morgan joins her judgement day stablemates in decimating Brie and Paige.

The next segment, we see the Street Profits about to be interviewed when they were joined by Seth Rollins. Ford reminds Seth that it is said that he cannot be trusted. He leaves as the words sink in with Dawkins and Seth seems to take in what was said.

Iyo is then seen congratulating Sol Ruca on a good match. She states that she is the future and that they will fight again. Then enters Becky Lynch who mocks Sol for her loss.

Oba Femi comes to the ring for his open challenge. Adam Pierce states that there is no challenger that wanted to take his open challenge. He then goes backstage and takes Humberto and Angel Garza to the ring, involuntarily to make this open challenge also a handicapped match.

Dirty Dom starts to make his way to the ring through the backstage with JD McDonough. Finn Balor comes out of nowhere to take out JD and Drity Dom is forced to go to the ring without his backup.

Jacky stops The Vision for an interview. Logan Paul threatens to vincent van goughing himself by stabbing himself in the ears if Joe Hendry sings his song again. They were asked how they would going to prepare for their title defense against the Street Profits in two weeks and Austin Theory offers Jacky a ride to speak about it. She refuses and they leave in their car.

Lastly, the segment most have probably been waiting for…the Roman Reigns acknowledgement ceremony. Roman enters flanked by his cousin, Jimmy Uso. Jey is then seen backstage with Jacob Fatu. He says that his cousin Jacob needs to be smart. This leads to Jey being laid out by Jacob prior to him stating he is not going not acknowledge Roman and that the acknowledgement needs to be beaten out of him. He lays out Jimmy on the way to the ring and stares Roman in the eyes from the apron before the two start to fight. Fatu uses the Tonga Death Grip a few times including using it to put the OTC through the announce desk. The show ends with Fatu licking the championship belt and holding it high in the center of the ring and then spearing Roman as he tries to get up from the announce desk. Will this leave Jacob Fatu out of a job? Time will tell.

    Results from tonight’s Raw matches:

  • A Tribute to Asuka- An Empress Who Deserves More Than Flowers

A Tribute to Asuka- An Empress Who Deserves More Than Flowers

History was made last night at WWE’s Backlash as Asuka faced Iyo Sky in a 1-on-1 match. What was the history? This was the first time in the promotion’s history that two Japanese wrestler’s had a singles match against each other on a WWE premium live event (PLE). It ended with Iyo Sky coming out the victor, a beautiful and emotional exchange between the two women, and what looked like a passing of the torch from Asuka to Iyo.

Is this the end for Asuka’s career with WWE? Is this just beginning of the end with Asuka being semi-retired? This something that we don’t know right now but it has a lot of people on social media talking. If this either the end or even the beginning of the end, Asuka deserves her praise and her flowers for her love of and dedication to the business.

Asuka debuted in the promotion AtoZ in Japan in June of 2004 where she stayed until she was diagnosed with chronic nephritis in March of 2006 and retired from wrestling. She made her return to wrestling in September of 2007 as a freelance wrestler. She even ran some of her own shows as a promotion in Japan at the time did not like the fact she called out some allegedly predatory activity, which we won’t go into here. While in the promotion NEO Japan Women’s pro wrestling, she regularly tagged with Mio Shirai, Iyo Sky’s sister. In October of 2011, she debuted in the United States for the both Shimmer Women’s Athletes and Chikara. It is her work with Shimmer that is credited with her learning the American style of wrestling.

It was during her time with Chikara that her future WWE co-superstar, Drew Gulak, met her. He has nothing but good things to say about the Empress of Tomorrow:

“I met Asuka when she came in to work for Chikara in 2011. Her and Sara del Rey put on the match of the night in the middle of Tennessee with a missing bottom rope! (The middle one snapped in an earlier match and they swapped it out mid show.) I got to see her again in 2016 when she was with NXT here and there at the performance center when I was touring with the RAW brand and 205 Live. We would often train together at the performance center and I’d get to catch up with her backstage at RAW and SmackDown after she debuted on their main roster.”

He continues by saying:Asuka represents Japanese Wrestling at its best and constantly shows how their dedication and respect for all aspects of Professional Wrestling sets and raises the bar worldwide. She connects with fans as well as any of the best performers of all time. And she did so with so many challenges by getting a later start than many of her peers in Japan and raising a family and moving overseas and overcoming a language barrier. It’s difficult enough to make it as a wrestler so I am always blown away by the ones who cross cultural barriers to do it. I have many fond memories of getting to spend some time around this absolute legend of a person and no matter what she’s up to next it will be great.”

Before she signed with the WWE in August of 2014, she tagged with none other than Kenny Omega against Masato Tanaka and Hikaru Shida. This match can be easily found online if you want to watch it and I highly suggest you do which is why I am selfishly sneaking it into this article. In September of 2015, it was revealed in a press conference in Toyko that she was the first Japanese female to have signed with the WWE since Bull Nakano in 1994. It is said that she was almost moved to the main roster in March of 2016 but she was thought to be the anchor of the NXT brand and was needed there.

Her joy and love for wrestling was always so apparent whenever she entered the ring. The pride in the presentation of her character to her joyfully dancing in the elevator during the pandemic era corporate ladder match for the Money In The Bank briefcase, her love for this great business. If this is the end or even the beginning of the end of Asuka’s wrestling career as an in ring performer, we should all be so grateful to have witnessed her paving the way for other Japanese women coming to the States and for the joy she has brought to us all.

Domo Arigatogozaimasu, Asuka. We all wish you the best of luck where ever your decision or path takes you. Whether its still wrestling, developing video games, or writing more articles, you will be amazing. Just know how loved and appreciated you are.

Here are her list of accomplishments as a wrestler in WWE:

    •  3x WWE Women’s Champion
    • 1x WWE Women’s World Champion
    •  1x NXT Women’s Champion
    • 5x WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion
    •  1x Royal Rumble Winner (and FIRST women to win the rumble)
    •  1x MITB Winner
    •  1x Mixed Match Challenge Winner
    •  1x Elimination Chamber Winner

    Seth Rollins vs. Bron Breakker

WWE Backlash opened with a hard-hitting singles match between Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker. Rollins appeared to gain momentum after connecting with a Pedigree and fighting off interference from Paul Heyman, Austin Theory, and Logan Paul at ringside.

After attacking members of The Vision with a steel chair, Rollins returned to the ring looking to finish the match. Breakker answered with a massive Spear for a close two-count. Moments later, Breakker attempted another Spear, but Rollins avoided it and immediately connected with a second Pedigree.

Rollins then climbed to the second rope looking for a Super Stomp, but before he could fully connect, Breakker exploded with another Spear in mid-motion. Breakker followed it up with a second devastating Spear to finally put Rollins away.

Result: Bron Breakker defeated Seth Rollins via pinfall after two Spears.

U.S Championship – Sami Zayn vs. Trick Williams (C)

Sami Zayn showed a far more aggressive side throughout his match against Trick Williams. The action escalated when the referee became distracted, allowing Zayn to strike Trick with a kendo stick.

Despite the illegal shot, Trick Williams managed to kick out at two. Sami later prepared for the Helluva Kick, but rapper Lil Yachty interfered from ringside and struck Zayn with the kendo stick, helping Trick regain control.

Zayn fought back and even took out Lil Yachty with a Helluva Kick outside the ring. However, his momentum was short-lived as Trick avoided another Helluva Kick attempt and connected with the Trick Shot to earn the win.

Result: Trick Williams defeated Sami Zayn via pinfall with the Trick Shot.

Kit Wilson & The Miz vs. Danhausen & Minihausen

The comedy tag team match delivered several chaotic moments throughout the night. Minihausen attempted to “curse” Kit Wilson, but Wilson countered by pulling out a mirror to reflect the curse back.

The Miz nearly secured the victory after hitting Minihausen with the Skull Crushing Finale, but Danhausen broke up the pinfall attempt just in time. Later in the match, The Miz attempted to use a fire extinguisher, only for the plan to backfire when he accidentally sprayed himself.

Minihausen launched himself onto Kit Wilson outside the ring, creating an opening for Danhausen to connect with the Punk Kick on The Miz for the victory.

Result: Danhausen & Minihausen defeated The Miz & Kit Wilson via pinfall.

    IYO SKY vs. Asuka

IYO SKY and Asuka delivered one of the most intense and technically sound matches of the evening. Asuka controlled large portions of the bout early, constantly targeting the champion with stiff strikes and submission attempts.

The momentum shifted several times throughout the contest. IYO connected with a German Back Suplex for a near fall, while Asuka repeatedly trapped her in the Asuka Lock. At ringside, Asuka attempted to use the mist, but IYO blocked it with a notebook before launching herself onto her opponent outside the ring.

In the closing moments, IYO SKY connected with the Bullet Train Attack followed by a Moonsault to retain her championship.

Result: IYO SKY defeated Asuka via pinfall. After the match, both women embraced in a respectful and emotional moment as Asuka appeared visibly moved.

John Cena Announces the “John Cena Classic”

John Cena addressed the WWE Universe during a special segment discussing the next chapter of his career following his final official match.

Cena praised rising stars such as Je’Von Evans, Sol Ruca, and Oba Femi before unveiling the “John Cena Classic,” a new WWE tournament designed to showcase the company’s future stars.

Cena also revealed a brand-new championship tied to the tournament and announced that fans will play a major role in deciding the eventual winner.

World Heavyweight Championship – Roman Reigns (c) vs. Jacob Fatu

Jacob Fatu dominated long stretches of the match with overwhelming aggression and physicality, constantly pushing Reigns into survival mode. WWE has rarely presented Reigns in this kind of vulnerable position, and the formula worked perfectly in elevating Fatu as arguably the most dangerous force on Raw today.

The closing moments came after Fatu trapped Reigns in a punishing jaw submission. As Reigns struggled to escape, he grabbed the referee by the shirt. When the official pulled away and briefly turned his back, Reigns shoved Fatu into the exposed turnbuckle before immediately connecting with a Spear for the victory.

Result: Roman Reigns defeated Jacob Fatu via pinfall to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

After the match, Fatu exploded in frustration and attacked both Reigns and the referee, furious over how the contest ended.

    https://x.com/wwe/status/2053266662380413294?s=46

A date for the event was not revealed, but it was announced that it will be a ‘now vs the future’ type of show with WWE stars facing off against NXT stars. Cena stated that having NXT stars compete on his final show meant a lot to him, and after seeing stars like Oba Femi compete at Wrestlemania, he wanted to introduce this event.

It was also announced that a new championship will be revealed for the classic, and the champion would be voted on by the WWE Universe. Fans will vote for not who wins the matches, but who impresses them the most. For example, Danhausen could enter the classic and lose every match except for one and if the fans are convinced then he will be the first ever John Cena Classic Champion. Cena also stated that his desire for this to be a yearly event taking place as a standalone show but it all depended on the reception from the fans.

The title was not revealed and how participants will qualify for the classic was not revealed either. However Oba Femi seemed like a sure fire favorite.

The reception from the WWE Universe seemed very positive. We will see how the event will be structured and provide updates when available.

  • WWE Backlash Results: IYO Sky vs Asuka

WWE Backlash Results: IYO Sky vs Asuka

IYO SKY and Asuka delivered one of the most intense and technical matches of the night at Backlash 2026, as both women showcased incredible resilience and control inside the ring.

Asuka dominated a large portion of the match early on, repeatedly punishing IYO SKY with a combination of strikes and kicks. However, IYO managed to respond with a missile dropkick followed by a knee strike that temporarily shifted the momentum in her favor.

Later in the match, Asuka regained control with a running kick that nearly secured the victory. Shortly after, IYO surprised the challenger with a German Back Suplex for a two-count. Asuka immediately countered by trapping IYO in a submission hold, though the champion managed to escape.

They continued exchanging offense until they were taken down following a hard kick from IYO. Once they got back to their feet, Asuka applied the Asuka Lock, but IYO escaped once again. Moments later, Asuka locked in an armbar in the center of the ring, although IYO broke free and answered with a submission hold of her own. Eventually, Asuka reached the ropes to force the break.

The action spilled to the outside when IYO attempted a suicide dive, but Asuka intercepted her with an elbow strike from ringside. Later, both wrestlers battled on top of the announce table as Asuka attempted to use the mist. However, IYO blocked the attack with a notebook before striking Asuka and diving off the table onto her.

IYO continued the assault with a springboard moonsault to the outside. Later, she attempted another moonsault inside the ring but failed to connect. Asuka capitalized on the mistake and reapplied the Asuka Lock in the center of the ring. Nevertheless, IYO managed to reverse the situation into a near fall, forcing Asuka to release the hold.

In the closing moments, IYO SKY connected with the Bullet Train Attack followed by a Moonsault to secure the victory.

Results: IYO SKY defeated Asuka via pinfall.

Following the match, IYO SKY showed respect to Asuka. The two embraced in an emotional moment as Asuka appeared visibly moved while saying goodbye to the crowd.

IYO SKY and Asuka were the first two Japanese wrestlers to face each other on a WWE PLE in their 46 year history – an incredible feat.

  • WWE Backlash Results: Danhausen/? VS Kit Willson/The Miz

WWE Backlash Results: Danhausen/? VS Kit Willson/The Miz

One of the biggest mysteries of the weekend was revealed when Danhausen revealed his tag team partner to be… Mini Danhausen!

Danhausen would come out with the clone machine he revealed last night on SmackDown and after speculation from CM Punk to… Shane McMahon? No one knew would be revealed as the tag partner. Mini Danhausen would then walk down to the ring with Danhausen to then take on The Miz and Kit Wilson.

During the match, Mini Danhausen would be very physical, from high flying moments to an airplane spin!

Kit would try to throw Mini Danhausen back into the clone machine only for it to turn back on to reveal MORE mini Danhausens! They would then dog pile Kit Wilson before throwing him to the ring.

Danhausen would then take out The Miz with a pump kick to get the pinfall victory. After a very fun but also very good showing from Danhausen it will interesting to see what happens next for Danhausen and the current feud.

  • WWE Backlash Results: Trick Williams (c) VS Sami Zayn

WWE Backlash Results: Trick Williams (c) VS Sami Zayn

Whoop that Trick! Trick Williams defeated Sami Zayn at Backlash to retain the United States Championship.

Throughout the match, Sami Zayn would put his focus on Lil Yachty instead of turning his attention to Trick. Sami would show more heel tendencies throughout the match, with Trick being the obvious favorite with the Tampa crowd. Trick and Sami would have a physical battle, but Sami just couldn’t stop focusing on the outside area.

Sami would then go out to the outside ring and take out his frustration on Yachty but Trick would go out to help his friend. Sami would take down Trick and throw him inside the ring.

In the closing moments of the match Sami would take out Lil Yachty with a Helluva Kick to the back of the head in the corner of the barricade. Sami would then laugh at the crowd as they boo’d. Zayn would then roll back into the ring to try to land a Helluva Kick on Trick. Williams would then counter and land a Trickshot to end the match and retain the United States Championship.

WWE is slowly turning Zayn into a heel with Trick turning babyface. It will be interesting to see where the story goes from here.
