  • WWE Superstar Danhausen Speaks Out Of Character On Marketing Yourself In Wrestling

WWE Superstar Danhausen Speaks Out Of Character On Marketing Yourself In Wrestling

Very nice, very evil, very good at marketing.

WWE Superstar Danhausen spoke out of character to students that were participating in Bayley’s Lodestone Las Vegas seminar about marketing yourself as a character in wrestling. Danhausen talked about how being athletic is important, but it isn’t everything in the wrestling business, adding that you have to play to your strengths and focus on what you do well.

“The athletic part is important but it’s not everything, which is good because not all of us are super athletic, I’m not, but I made that a strength, and you guys can do that too as long as you focus on what you do well. I think William Regal said that, I just hide all the shit that I’m bad at and focus on the things I’m good at. That seems to work, I’ve used that and it seems to work for me.

“If you’re an independent wrestler and doing merch, I try to follow the rule of ‘would I wear this’, and if I wouldn’t wear this, I do not release it because that shit sucks.

“That’s kind of the character too; what do you like? What movies do you like? What music do you like? I know B3CCA does the popstar thing, you’ve taken that and made a character out of that, and that’s something people can connect with and stands out, and that’s the best thing is to stand out.

“I know (convincing people on your character) is not easy, it’s just kind of deciding if you want to die on that hill. If it is really worth it then yes fight for it and be like ‘this is my shit, this is our time, 5 to 10 minutes, to show these people who we are and this is who I am, can we think of a way for us to get into this? I think it’s just a way of being respectful and being nice.”

  • Brian Myers Recalls First Meeting MJF And The Moment He Knew He Was Different

Brian Myers Recalls First Meeting MJF And The Moment He Knew He Was Different

He’s better than you and even Brian Myers knew it.

Maxwell Jacob Friedman has become one of the biggest stars in professional wrestling today, but according to Brian Myers, it didn’t take long to realize there was something special about MJF.

Speaking during a recent appearance on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, Myers reflected on the first time he met the future AEW World Champion at Create A Pro Wrestling Academy. The former WWE and TNA star recalled that MJF arrived at the school during its infancy and was already showing signs of the charisma and confidence that would eventually make him one of wrestling’s premier performers.

Myers explained that MJF’s journey into wrestling mirrored his own in some ways, as both faced skepticism while pursuing a career in the industry.

“Yeah, I’ll never forget it. It was very early on, probably the first four months of Create A Pro. It’s kind of funny, because it’s a very similar mentality. He committed to something in college football, but he really had his heart set on wrestling. I think it kind of hit a wall with what he was doing and what his parents wanted him to do and what he wanted to do. I was in a very similar situation, because when you tell people you want to be a wrestler, it’s not really that believable. His dad came in with him, and it almost felt like, here he’s your problem now, this is what he wants to do. I was like, let’s go. So pretty early on, we did a promo class where he just murdered this kid, and I was like, okay, there’s something about this guy.”

The story offers an interesting glimpse into the early days of MJF’s wrestling career. Long before headlining major events and becoming one of the most talked-about names in the industry, he was already displaying the verbal ability that would later become a defining trait of his character.

Myers’ recollection highlights how quickly MJF stood out among his peers. While many aspiring wrestlers spend years trying to develop confidence on the microphone, MJF apparently made an immediate impression during one of his first promo classes.

Over the years, Create A Pro Wrestling Academy has produced several notable talents, but MJF’s rise to the top of the industry remains one of its greatest success stories. According to Myers, the signs were there almost immediately.

  • WWE Clash In Italy Preview: Full Match Card, Plus When And Where To Watch!

WWE Clash In Italy Preview: Full Match Card, Plus When And Where To Watch!

WWE Makes History This Weekend With Clash In Italy

WWE is set to make history this weekend as the company presents its first-ever premium live event from Italy with WWE Clash In Italy on Sunday, May 31.

The event will emanate from the Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy, marking another milestone in WWE’s ongoing international expansion. Due to the time difference, fans in the United States will be able to tune in beginning at 2:00 p.m. ET / 11:00 a.m. PT for the main card, while the kickoff show begins at 12:00 p.m. ET / 9:00 a.m. PT.

A stacked lineup featuring multiple world championship bouts, a Tribal Combat showdown, and a highly anticipated clash between two dominant powerhouses has generated significant buzz heading into the event.

WWE Clash in Italy match card:

    • Undisputed WWE Championship Match: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Gunther
    • World Heavyweight Championship – Tribal Combat: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Jacob Fatu
    • WWE Women’s Championship Match: Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Jade Cargill
    • Women’s Intercontinental Championship Match: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Sol Ruca
    • Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi

At the top of the card, Roman Reigns will defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Jacob Fatu in a Tribal Combat match. The Bloodline family rivalry has reached a boiling point, and with Tribal Combat rules in effect, anything can happen when the two collide. Reigns enters as champion, but Fatu has established himself as one of the most dangerous and unpredictable competitors in WWE, creating what could be one of the most chaotic matches of the year.

The Undisputed WWE Championship will also be on the line as Cody Rhodes puts his title up against former World Heavyweight Champion Gunther. Rhodes has continued to cement himself as WWE’s top champion, but Gunther’s dominant track record and relentless in-ring style present perhaps his toughest challenge yet. The clash between Rhodes’ resilience and Gunther’s brutality has all the ingredients of a show-stealing championship encounter.

On the women’s side, WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley defends against Jade Cargill in a dream match that fans have been highly anticipating. Ripley has firmly established herself as one of the most dominant champions in WWE, while Cargill’s impressive rise has positioned her as one of the company’s biggest stars. With power, athleticism, and championship gold at stake, this matchup has major-event written all over it.

The WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship will also be defended when Becky Lynch faces rising star Sol Ruca. Lynch continues to add to her already legendary resume, but Ruca has quickly become one of the most exciting young talents on the roster. A victory over Lynch on a stage of this magnitude would instantly elevate Ruca into championship contention and potentially usher in a new era for the division.

Rounding out the announced card is a blockbuster rematch between Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi. The matchup pits one of the most accomplished competitors in WWE history against one of its fastest-rising powerhouses, in a WrestleMania 42 rematch. Femi has impressed audiences with his combination of size, strength, and athleticism, but standing across from him will be a former UFC Heavyweight Champion and one of the most intimidating figures the industry has ever seen looking to avenge his shocking loss last month at WrestleMania.

With multiple championship matches, family warfare inside Tribal Combat, and WWE’s first premium live event in Italy, Clash In Italy is shaping up to be one of the company’s biggest international events of 2026.

WWE Clash In Italy takes place Sunday, May 31, from the Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy. Check back here at Bodyslam.net for coverage of tomorrows WWE Clash in Itlay PLE.

  • Brian Myers Opens Up About How Much Longer He Wants To Wrestle

Brian Myers Opens Up About How Much Longer He Wants To Wrestle

Veteran pro wrestler Brian Myers is thinking more seriously than ever about how much longer he wants to continue competing inside the ring.

During a recent appearance on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, Myers opened up about the realities of getting older in professional wrestling, while also explaining why he remains motivated to continue performing at a high level.

Now approaching his 41st birthday, Myers admitted that the conversation surrounding longevity has become something he thinks about constantly.

“More than ever. Yeah, it’s crazy how much it’s been [on my mind]. I’ll be 41 in a month. Ever since I turned 40, it just feels like, oh man. I always say Father Time is undefeated, and an injury could stop me. I just want to be the best version of myself, whatever that takes. We talked about Brock earlier, just taking care of yourself and staying healthy. Just because doing this is such a privilege to me.

“Like I said, when I have my last match, I’m gonna cry like a baby, because I just love it so much. It’s been such a part of my life. I’ve been doing it more than not at this point. So I think about it constantly. But then there’s people who are real motivations to me, like Edge and Christian and Chris Jericho. I see them still doing it at a high level, and they’re much older than me. I’m like, okay, sh*t, they’re doing it.

“Even guys like Frankie Kazarian and Eric Young at work, they are in the best shape of their lives, still having incredible matches, and they’re a little bit older. I’m like, okay, like they keep me motivated to stay on the ball.”

Myers has built a lengthy career across multiple major promotions, becoming one of the most reliable and respected veterans in the industry. Whether teaming with Matt Cardona, competing in IMPACT/TNA Wrestling, or appearing on the independent scene, Myers has consistently remained active throughout nearly two decades in the business.

While retirement is clearly something on his mind, Myers made it equally clear that he still has a strong passion for professional wrestling and continues to draw inspiration from veteran performers who are still excelling well into their 40s and beyond.

Names like Adam Copeland, Christian Cage, and Chris Jericho continue to prove that longevity in wrestling is possible with the right mindset and commitment to staying healthy, something Myers appears determined to emulate as he moves deeper into the later stages of his career.

At the same time, Myers’ comments also reflected the emotional connection many lifelong performers have to the business. Wrestling has been a defining part of his life for decades, and he acknowledged that eventually stepping away from the ring will not come easy.

For now, however, Myers appears focused on continuing to evolve, stay healthy, and perform at the highest level possible while he still has the opportunity to do what he loves.
