  • MVP Says Triple H Ignoring Him And Bobby Lashley Led To WWE Exit

MVP Says Triple H Ignoring Him And Bobby Lashley Led To WWE Exit

Former WWE Superstar MVP, who now is a prominent part of the AEW Roster, did not hold back while discussing the circumstances surrounding his departure from WWE.

MVP is claiming that repeated attempts to communicate with Paul Levesque ultimately pushed both himself and Bobby Lashley toward leaving the company. Speaking on Marking Out with MVP & Dwayne Swayze, MVP detailed growing frustrations behind the scenes, specifically pointing to what he described as a lack of communication from WWE management.

“I don’t like Triple H, I think he’s a coward and a liar. There were multiple times I tried to talk to Triple H, and he would always say, ‘I’ll get with you in a little bit.’”

MVP went on to explain that Lashley also struggled to get direct answers regarding his future in WWE despite multiple attempts to speak with WWE’s Chief Content Officer.

“Bobby couldn’t get Triple H on the phone. Triple H wouldn’t give Bobby any one on one time,” MVP continued. “Bobby wanted to talk to Triple H about, ‘Hey, what’s my direction? What am I doing here?’ But Triple H always had something come up.”

According to MVP, the lack of communication eventually led him to encourage Lashley and fellow former WWE Superstar Shelton Benjamin to consider leaving WWE together and making the jump to AEW.

“So I told Bobby while we were sitting in catering, ‘Dog, I’m not going to re-sign. Don’t re-sign either. You, me, and Shelton should go to AEW. Let’s go.’”

MVP said he continued pushing the idea consistently until Lashley eventually agreed that their futures within WWE no longer appeared promising.

“I was in Bobby’s ear every week. ‘Bobby, let’s go, dog. Let’s get Shelton and head across the street.’ It finally got to the point where Bobby was like, ‘Yeah, you’re right. There’s no future here for us.’”

MVP also pushed back against speculation that WWE made the decision to move on from the group, stating clearly that the departures came down to their own choice not to remain with the company.

“So my contract ran out. Bobby’s contract ran out. We chose not to re-sign. Contrary to what some people might say, that was our decision.”

The comments add another layer to the ongoing discussion surrounding talent relations and communication within WWE under the current regime, while also shedding more light on how close-knit the bond remains between MVP, Lashley, and Benjamin following their time together as part of The Hurt Business.

  • John Cena Opens Up On WWE Creative And Taking Risks

John Cena Opens Up On WWE Creative And Taking Risks

John Cena recently appeared on The Rich Eisen Show and discussed the creative direction behind his final WWE run, including the long-awaited heel turn that ultimately produced a divided response from fans.

For years, many wrestling viewers had pushed for Cena to embrace a villain role after spending most of his career positioned as WWE’s top babyface. When the company finally made the change during his farewell run, however, a large portion of the audience quickly began gravitating back toward the more traditional version of Cena they had known for years.

That response eventually helped steer Cena back into a more recognizable fan-favorite role heading into SummerSlam.

During an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, Cena explained that he intentionally approached the heel character in a grounded and realistic way rather than dramatically reinventing himself.

According to Cena, he chose not to alter his look, entrance music or overall presentation because he wanted the turn to feel authentic instead of cartoonish. Rather than portraying a completely different personality, he said the character was built around the idea of frustration after years of receiving such polarized reactions from WWE audiences.

Cena noted that while fans were initially curious to see the change, many ultimately decided they preferred the older version of his character and wanted that version back on television.

He also made it clear that personally, he enjoys taking creative risks and rarely pushes back against WWE storylines or character ideas. Cena said he has almost never rejected a creative direction proposed by the company because he enjoys the challenge that comes with trying something different.

  • Lash Legend Discusses Biggest WWE Main Roster Challenge

Lash Legend Discusses Biggest WWE Main Roster Challenge

Since making the jump from NXT to WWE’s main roster, Lash Legend has quickly adapted to the brighter lights and increased spotlight that come with competing on SmackDown every week.

During a recent appearance on Bodyslam.net’s Wrestleholics podcast, Legend opened up about the biggest challenge she has faced since officially joining the main roster, pointing specifically to the demanding travel schedule and constant adjustment that comes with life on the road.

“I mean, obviously the changing your schedule.. I think that NXT, you know, they started to get on the road. So we got opportunities of doing a lot of events and stuff like that. But now it’s weekly. So it’s just adjusting to life on the road, living out the suitcase and you know, it is what it is, but it’s been so much fun. It’s been a blessing.”

Legend explained that while the transition has been chaotic at times, it has also been a rewarding experience as she continues to settle into the pace of WWE’s main roster environment.

“So I would say just like the schedule change and just, you know, everything is chaotic. It’s like a scheduled chaotic, I guess, environment. So just adjusting to that has been fun.”

Despite the hectic schedule, Legend also spoke about how much she has enjoyed sharing the ring with some of the biggest names in WWE, including several legends and future Hall of Famers.

“But I feel like in the ring, you know, I’ve gotten to work with so many amazing people, Hall of Famers, future Hall of Famers, and it’s just like really cool that, you know, when I step in the ring, I’m always looking across the ring to somebody who’s just like a legend.”

Legend specifically highlighted Rhea Ripley as someone who has helped bring out another level in her performances since arriving on the main roster.

“And specifically for me, I think Rhea has brought a lot out of me and we haven’t had a singles match yet. But that is one of my dream matches — actually Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, and myself in the triple threat.”

Legend added that sharing the ring with talents she has admired for years has made many of her long-term goals finally feel real.

“So being able to, you know, actually pin her to get the tag team titles is like, whoa, it’s just been a dream. But also something that I know that I could accomplish and achieve. So it’s just really cool seeing all the things that I’ve wanted to do that is finally happening.”

With her confidence continuing to grow and dream matches already in her sights, Lash Legend appears poised to become an even bigger presence on WWE television moving forward.

  • Lash Legend Reflects On Main Roster Growth, Credits Preparation And Triple H’s Belief In Her

Lash Legend Reflects On Main Roster Growth, Credits Preparation And Triple H’s Belief In Her

Since officially arriving on WWE’s main roster late last year, Lash Legend has continued to build momentum as one of the company’s fastest-rising Superstars.

During a recent appearance on Bodyslam.net’s Wrestleholics podcast, Legend opened up about her growth over the past several months, discussing the transition from NXT to WWE’s main roster and the confidence that has come with the opportunity.

Legend explained that despite the spotlight and increased pressure that comes with performing on RAW and SmackDown, she never viewed the opportunity as something she wasn’t prepared for.

“Yeah, I mean, it’s definitely just been a blessing. I think every opportunity that I’ve gotten. I’ve just made sure to, you know, take heed to it and run with it — run with whatever is thrown my way because I feel like the thing is, it doesn’t really feel like it’s thrown my way because I prepare.”

The former NXT standout went on to reflect on the amount of time and work she invested while developing in WWE’s developmental system before finally making the leap to the main roster.

“I’ve been at NXT. I was at NXT for five and a half years. So I’ve been craving these opportunities, opportunities craving these moments and now that it is happening, I’m just super grateful.”

Legend also gave credit to WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque for believing in her abilities and trusting that she was ready for a larger role on WWE programming.

“You know, shout out to Hunter for believing in me and not feeling like, ‘Oh no, maybe not.’ He’s like, ‘No, let’s do it. This is who you are and this is what you’re ready for. You have this talent.’ And I’m just grateful that he sees that and it’s been fun. It’s been a good fun ride.”

Since arriving on the main roster in November of 2025, Legend has quickly become a featured part of WWE programming, continuing to showcase the athleticism and charisma that made her stand out during her time in NXT.

Looking ahead, Legend made it clear that her focus is firmly set on championship gold once again.

“I’ve officially been on the main roster since November and now it’s May. So yeah, a lot has happened. A lot has happened since then. I’m going after my tag team gold again, trying to be two-time and it’s going to happen right there at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Fort Wayne, Indiana.”

With her confidence continuing to grow and WWE firmly behind her push, Lash Legend appears determined to make the most of her breakout year on the main roster.

  • Asuka Confirms She Is Still With WWE, Teases Return In The Future

Asuka Confirms She Is Still With WWE, Teases Return In The Future

Asuka has responded to the rampant rumors and reports going around about her status with the WWE.

In the blowoff feud match between the Empress of Tomorrow, Asuka, and the Genius of the Sky, Iyo Sky. The biggest headline going into that match on that week was Asuka teasing that she was possibly departing or taking some time off from the WWE.

Following the match, she would embrace in a hug with Sky, and the following night, the two made amends and Asuka departed from the arena, being written off TV so she can handle personal matters back home in Japan.

Now, in her most recent vlog, Asuka confirmed the report from Fightful Select and teased that she could pop in when fans least expect it to prepare for her comeback to the WWE.

“It’s already been about two weeks since my last match at Backlash. I know there are a ton of rumors flying around out there… People asking, ‘Are we ever going to see Asuka wrestle again? Is she going back to Japan? Is she leaving WWE?’ The truth is, it was a personal matter — I reached out to WWE and we talked it through. But let’s be clear — as you all know from watching my matches, I can still go. I am still at the top of my game! I’ve been with WWE for over 10 years now, almost like it was just a given. And because it became such a part of your daily routine, I think my presence there just became something everyone took for granted. But remember… nothing lasts forever. Everything is finite. You see, I’m not just a wrestler by trade; I’m a designer, too. Even the way I live my life has to be art. I’m sure you’re all wondering what’s next for me, and how I’ll be involved with TV and the tours moving forward. But don’t forget — I am still officially with WWE. So there’s a chance I might just pop up in front of you when you least expect it! Let’s be honest, no one will ever make the kind of historic impact I made from day one. I don’t think anyone will ever climb to the top non-stop, grabbing every title and accolade along the way — the way I did. And because I’m a true pioneer, there will NEVER be another Asuka! So from here on out, if you ever catch a glimpse of me, you better cherish it. Because it’s going to be rare.” – Asuka on her YouTube Channel.
