Hennig was released from custody on May 19. As of this writing, no court date has been publicly listed.

The 46-year-old comes from one of professional wrestling’s most well-known family lineages. He is the son of WWE Hall of Famer Curt Hennig, known worldwide as “Mr. Perfect,” and the grandson of wrestling legend Larry “The Ax” Hennig.

Joe Hennig officially began his WWE journey in 2007 after helping induct his father into the WWE Hall of Fame earlier that same year. He later signed with WWE and developed in Florida Championship Wrestling before gaining wider exposure during season two of WWE NXT under the ring name Michael McGillicutty.

  • Lash Legend Believes Kali Armstrong Has WWE Hall Of Fame Potential

Lash Legend Believes Kali Armstrong Has WWE Hall Of Fame Potential

    Real recognizes real, they say.

WWE Superstar Lash Legend had high praise for rising NXT talent Kali Armstrong during a recent appearance on Bodyslam.net’s Wrestleholics podcast, calling Armstrong a future Hall of Famer and one of the standout names in WWE’s evolving developmental system.

As WWE continues to spotlight new faces across NXT and EVOLVE, Lash spoke about the growing opportunities for emerging talent and pointed directly to Armstrong as someone poised to break through in a major way.

“I feel like it’s a new evolution of NXT, and I feel like the people that deserve more recognition are starting to get those opportunities. So it’s really cool to see Cali.”

Lash continued by emphasizing Armstrong’s upside and overall presence, making it clear she believes the young star has all the tools needed to succeed at the highest level.

“Yeah, I mean, everybody should know about NXT. That girl is something serious, and I believe that she can be a Hall of Famer one day. She is just that good. She’s so coachable, she loves it, she has a passion for it, and she looks great, so shout out to her.”

Armstrong has quickly become one of the more talked-about names among WWE’s developing talent pool, especially following her run with the EVOLVE Championship. According to Lash, the next step is now establishing herself as a force within NXT.

“She’s somebody that I’m like, ‘Yeah, go get that title.’ She came in with the EVOLVE Championship, so that was really cool, but I think it’s time for her to make her mark in NXT.”

  • WWE Sources Reportedly Believe Ludwig Kaiser ICE Story Was Planted

WWE Sources Reportedly Believe Ludwig Kaiser ICE Story Was Planted

WWE Superstar Ludwig Kaiser (real name Marcel Barthel) was arrested in Orlando, Florida on May 20, 2026, for misdemeanor battery following an April 23 altercation at his apartment complex. According to an arrest affidavit, Kaiser and a woman (WWE personality Andrea Bazarte) were “aggressively kissing” inside an elevator at the Paramount on Lake Eola Apartments.

The victim, identified as Richard Reap, exited on the 12th floor and told the couple to “please have some manners”. Reap told police that Kaiser followed him out and punched and pushed him to the ground, causing a scratch on his head.

Police secured surveillance footage matching the victim’s account, identified Kaiser, and issued a warrant. Kaiser learned of the warrant while working in Mexico, returned to Orlando, turned himself in, and was released on a $1,000 bond. Kaiser entered a plea of not guilty. Because his wrestling career requires international travel, his legal team successfully filed a motion allowing him to travel while the case is ongoing.

It was previously reported by Fightful Select, that WWE currently has no heat with Kaiser over the incident and is not expected to issue internal disciplinary action. He is scheduled to continue his high-profile “El Grande Americano” mask versus mask match against Chad Gable in AAA. However, there is now a new update from Fightful Select regarding the recent Ludwig Kaiser and Andrea Bazarte situation.

According to information obtained by Fightful Select, several WWE sources indicated they believe the story involving Kaiser defending Bazarte from ICE-related comments may have been intentionally planted from within the company.

Fightful noted that an unfamiliar phone number reportedly contacted multiple members of wrestling media directly with the story. Sources also pointed out that the information did not appear to originate from Ludwig Kaiser, Andrea Bazarte, or WWE’s official communications team.

The report states that the unusual nature of the outreach raised eyebrows internally, especially given how selectively the information was distributed.

At this point, there has been no official statement from WWE, Kaiser, or Bazarte regarding the situation.

We will continue to monitor the story here at Bodyslam.net, and provide additional updates as more information becomes available.

  • Jay Bilas Says He’d Be Open To Hosting A WWE Draft

Jay Bilas Says He’d Be Open To Hosting A WWE Draft

ESPN analyst and longtime NBA Draft expert Jay Bilas says he would be open to stepping into the world of WWE in a big way.

While speaking with Justin Barrasso‘s Extra Mustard, Bilas was asked about the possibility of hosting a future WWE Draft. The longtime college basketball analyst didn’t hesitate when discussing both his interest in professional wrestling and his appreciation for the evolution of the industry.

“I wouldn’t say no to that. I love wrestling. I grew up on it. I really enjoyed it when I was growing up, and my favorite was John Tolos. But the wrestling I watched feels primitive compared to what we see now. With all the pageantry, it’s become this incredible spectacle.”

Bilas naming John Tolos as one of his childhood favorites will resonate with longtime wrestling fans familiar with the legendary heel’s influence during wrestling’s territorial era. Known as “The Golden Greek,” Tolos became one of the most recognizable stars of his generation and helped shape the style and presentation of wrestling during the 1960s and 1970s, throughout a career that stretched through the early 1950s to the early 1980s.

The idea of Bilas hosting a WWE Draft would not feel entirely out of place given WWE’s continued crossover with mainstream sports media and entertainment personalities in recent years. WWE has regularly brought in analysts, athletes, musicians, and celebrities to contribute to major events, particularly around marquee broadcasts and premium live events.

Bilas has built a respected reputation over the years through his work covering college basketball and the NBA Draft for ESPN. His ability to command a live broadcast environment and present major selections could translate naturally into WWE’s annual Draft presentation.

WWE has also leaned heavily into creating a more sports-oriented presentation in recent years, especially around concepts like the Draft, rankings, and championship contention. Adding a recognizable sports television personality like Bilas into that environment would fit the company’s current direction.

Whether the opportunity ever materializes remains to be seen, but Bilas clearly sounds open to the possibility of making an appearance inside the WWE universe.

  • Lash Legend Names WWE NXT Star Ready For WWE Main Roster Call-Up

Lash Legend Names WWE NXT Star Ready For WWE Main Roster Call-Up

With Lash Legend now finding success on WWE’s main roster, the former NXT standout has a unique perspective on which rising names could be next in line for a call-up.

During a recent appearance on Bodyslam.net’s Wrestleholics podcast, Legend discussed several current NXT talents she believes are beginning to receive the recognition they deserve, while specifically praising both NXT Superstar Tatum Paxley and current WWE Main Roster Superstar Jordynne Grace.

Legend first pointed to Paxley as someone she has long believed deserved more opportunities during her time in NXT.

“Well, you know, it’s crazy. The person who, I mean, we both was grinding, grinding together. I used to think it was Tatum, but now Tatum is starting to get her flowers. Obviously she’s a champion, North American Champion. So it’s just really cool to see her getting these opportunities and showing up because she was always somebody that I’m like, dang, like Tatum deserves her flowers. This girl is good.”

According to Legend, one of the most exciting parts of today’s NXT roster is seeing talents who previously flew under the radar finally begin receiving consistent opportunities to shine.

“I feel like it’s a new evolution of NXT and I feel like the people that did deserve more recognition, they’re starting to get those opportunities.”

Legend also had major praise for Jordynne Grace, calling her one of the most complete performers currently competing on WWE SmackDown, after being called up to the main roster. Legend also predicted an eventual Hall of Fame-caliber career for Grace.

“So it’s really cool to see Jordynne. Everybody should know about NXT. That girl is something serious and I believe that she can be a Hall of Famer one day. Like she is just that good.”

Legend continued by praising Grace’s passion for professional wrestling and the overall presence she brings whenever she appears on screen.

“She’s so coachable. She loves it, she has a passion for it and she looks great, you know, so shout out to her. She’s somebody that I’m like, yeah, go get that title.”

While Legend herself continues adjusting to life on WWE’s main roster, it’s clear she still keeps a close eye on the next generation of talent developing in NXT — and believes several stars are getting closer to making the jump themselves.

Back in the ring Heyman says the good news is that everyone watching will have a chance to see history play out in real time.

-Theory hugs Heyman but Heyman explains that he believes in Theory.

-Theory then says every single person involved in hurting Paul will pay and Heyman tells Theory that he knows what he has to do tonight and who he has to do it to.

-Back in the ring Joe Hendry says fans across the world chant we believe and says Paul shouldn’t feel down about being injured.

-He performs a song apologizing to Paul for everything he said and sings that he knows Paul can hear him from his hospital bed.

-He sings that the world has a message: we’re sorry that he’s hurting but we don’t want him back at all and calls for Paul to be fired.

-Theory sneaks up behind Hendry and cracks a chair across Hendry’s spine repeatedly prompting officials to run out and check on Hendry.

-We then head backstage where Seth Rollins tells Angelo Dawkins that he knows what it’s like to be screwed over by The Vision.

-He says The Vision is the weakest that it’s been but also the most dangerous as is evident in what Theory just did.

-He says The Vision needs to be ended for good but Montez Ford joins them and asks if they’re still doing the Rollins redemption story.

-He says nothing good happens when Rollins is around but Rollins says nothing good happens when he isn’t around or Street Profits would be the new World Tag Team Champions.

-He says that himself & Street Profits don’t have to be friends but at least be able to work together to take out The Vision.

-Rollins & Ford then agree to square off against one another.

-We then head elsewhere backstage where Je’Von Evans apologizes to Intercontinental Champion Penta for what happened between them earlier.

-He tells Penta that he’ll see him in the ring for the Intercontinental Title again before Rey Mysterio approaches Penta and gives him some encouraging words.

-Jimmy Uso’s music hits and he makes his way out.

-He reminds Knight that he fought side by side with him at WrestleMania 42 but Knight says Jimmy is now fighting side by side with Reigns.

-Jimmy says he gets why Knight has issues with The Bloodline as does the rest of the locker room but says The Bloodline did what they have to do.

-He says Knight will have a fair shot at Reigns if he wins the King Of The Ring Tournament but Knight asks Jimmy if he’s being honest by himself about things being fair.

-He says Jimmy comes to the ring with Jey having a chair in his hand then says Jimmy is coming to the ring as a messenger and the third fiddle to Reigns. He says Jimmy needs to take a lesson from the past.

-Jimmy says he’s had enough of Knight’s talk and says he’s lucky Jey isn’t in the ring because there would be no more talking.

-Knight says if Jey was in Columbus, The Usos would beat him down before Reigns joined in but Jimmy warns Knight against talking bad about Reigns unless he wants the Anoa’i family to become his business.

-Knight says he has no problem with The Usos but Reigns himself.

-He says he doesn’t want to ruin their friendship but if the Anoa’i family becomes his business then so be it.

-We then head backstage where new AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio & Adam Pearce bond over being General Managers.

-Page storms in and expresses his anger with Mysterio getting an Intercontinental Title match ahead of him but Rusev joins them and Page catches him up.

    Intercontinental Title #1 Contenders Match
Rey Mysterio defeated Rusev via Roll Up

-We then head backstage where Austin Theory argues with Adam Pearce as Alpha Academy stands by when Otis comments on Theory being bad news Maxxine Dupri (who has previously been spotted backstage talking to Theory) tells Otis that Theory has had a rough night and invites him to cut him some slack before heading off.

-Jacob Fatu signs the contract Adam Pearce has in hand and throws the office chairs and table inside the ring out of it in the direction of the security guards at the bottom of the entrance ramp. Security gets in Fatu’s face but Fatu shoves one of them.

-World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns then makes his way out and signs the contract. He stares down Fatu as security inserts themselves between them.

-Reigns demands that security leave the ring explaining Fatu agreed not to touch him until Clash In Italy by signing the contract.

-Security & Pearce do so and Reigns tells Columbus to acknowledge him.

-He says all Fatu had to do was acknowledge him like the fans did as per the stipulation of their World Heavyweight Title match at Backlash in order for them to move onto the next mission.

-Fatu says he’s not like everyone else then says Reigns is the reason that their family is on top of the mountain and says he took their family to the promise land.

-He says Reigns could only take their family so far and says it’s time for a chance then asks if Reigns lived by the code of The Bloodline at Backlash or if it bent the rules to beat him.

-He says Reigns had to do what he did using any means necessarily but anything goes in a Tribal Combat match and says everyone will have consequences when he’s done with Reigns at Clash in Italy.

-Reigns say he’s a man of his word then says Fatu can become the leader if he can dethrone him as World Heavyweight Champion at Clash in Italy.

-He says if Fatu can’t beat him though, he will serve him, learn from him and love him in time.

-Fatu says Reigns will have to learn how to acknowledge him if he wins at Clash In Italy then extends his hand to Reigns.

-Reigns shakes it and they touch foreheads as they agree to the terms of their Tribal Combat match then touch heads to close out this week’s Raw.

  • Lash Legend Reflects On Demolition Tribute At WrestleMania 42

Lash Legend Reflects On Demolition Tribute At WrestleMania 42

For Lash Legend, competing at WrestleMania 42 only months after officially joining WWE’s main roster was already a surreal experience. But being able to honor one of wrestling’s legendary tag teams made the moment even more special.

During a recent appearance on Bodyslam.net’s Wrestleholics podcast, Legend reflected on competing at WrestleMania and coming out in tribute gear inspired by the iconic Demolition duo.

“I mean, those are like dream moments and essentially what we trained for all year. Everybody wants a WrestleMania match and the fact that I got it, what, six months in on the main roster is just incredible.”

Legend admitted that paying tribute to Demolition during the event became one of the highlights of the entire WrestleMania week for her.

“And, you know, being able to honor the Demolition Brothers, that was so, so cool. And the gear, man, that came out so sick. I didn’t know what to envision completely, but shout out to our gear makers. They did that.”

According to Legend, the experience became even more meaningful after getting the opportunity to spend time with the legendary tag team prior to the match.

“And it was really cool that we got to have that moment with the Demolition Brothers prior to the match, get some pictures. So just that whole moment, that whole week, everything was just, it’s just a dream, honestly.”

Legend also reflected on her standout showing in this year’s Royal Rumble match, where she scored five eliminations — the highest total in the match.

“So obviously WrestleMania, like you mentioned, Royal Rumble had an amazing showing. Got to eliminate Hall of Famers, future Hall of Famers. And I had the most this year, which was five. So that was really, really cool.”

While discussing her rapid rise on the main roster, Legend also credited Nia Jax as one of the biggest influences on her recent development, both inside and outside the ring.

Legend explained that working with Jax during her final run in NXT pushed her physically in ways she had not experienced before.

“At NXT, towards my end run there, she asked to come down and work against me and I was all for it. Obviously I hadn’t worked anybody of that caliber and that dominant in the ring. I’m being the bully to everyone, so to get a taste of being bullied back, I’m like, hold up, wait a minute.”

She added that Jax has continued helping guide her transition to WWE’s main roster, something Legend says has made the adjustment far smoother than she expected.

“She’s testing me the most and I think she’s also helped me grow the most and make this transition from NXT to the main roster just seamless. I don’t got to worry about nothing because I got Nia on my side just there for me, vouching for me. Like it’s been amazing.”

Legend also hyped up her growing alliance with Jax, revealing that the duo is officially known as “The Irresistible Forces.”

“Well, if you didn’t know, Nia Jax and myself, Lash Legend, the one and only Bougie Bully — we are called The Irresistible Forces. We are literally the biggest girls in the entire WWE across all brands and we’re the most dominant.”

With momentum continuing to build around Lash Legend on WWE television, it’s clear the former NXT standout sees herself as only getting started.
