  • Chris Jericho: I Put A Million Percent In Every Character, Sometimes It Doesn’t Work Out As Well

Chris Jericho: I Put A Million Percent In Every Character, Sometimes It Doesn’t Work Out As Well

Chris Jericho spoke about the characters and gimmicks he has had over the last couple of decades.

Whether it’s Lionheart, Y2J, Monday Night Jericho, The Ocho, Suit & Tie Jericho, or even the Learning Tree. Chris Jericho has said he does his best to put a million percent of his work into each character of his.

While speaking with Ringer Wrestling, Jericho spoke about the different stints of characters he has had and which one he prefers to be his favorite.

“When you’re going through underrated Jericho eras, gosh, I think The Wizard was pretty cool when I started throwing the fireballs. That was something that nobody had seen for years in pro wrestling, I just thought that was really cool. We were in Vegas and I had to get a Magician’s License for real to throw a fireball because that’s the rules that the commission has. I still renew it every year and carry with me at all times, so yes, I am a licensed magician in Nevada.”

Continuing on, Jericho also showed some appreciation for his Monday Night Jericho era and his Learning Tree stable.

“I think the first kind of iteration of Jericho is the crybaby era, the tantrums and slamming the chair against the post. Ripping off Dave Penzer’s tuxedo, that was kind of the era of, ‘Who is this guy?’ The paragon of virtue and all of that stuff. Monday Night Jericho, that era. That was a really good time. I also think that The Learning Tree was a good era because it was kind of really going left field and kind of focusing on the haters of the world, which then made them hate it even more. That might be a little bit more of a Stones dirty work. Kiss The Elder, Sane Anger type of vibe. I thought that was a really cool one as well.”

Jericho has been involved in a feud with the Demand for the last couple of weeks since coming back from a year-long hiatus from the world of All Elite Wrestling.

  • Adam Copeland: You Can Tell Lio Rush Is Going All In With Blackheart Gimmick

Adam Copeland: You Can Tell Lio Rush Is Going All In With Blackheart Gimmick

Adam Copeland had some praise to share recently for Lio Rush’s recent gimmick change and character work.

Recently, Lio Rush brought in a Blackheart gimmick which has definitely caught the attention of the fans from all around the world.

In a recent interview with Westwood One Sports, Adam Copeland was asked about the climate of wrestling characters today and had a lot of good praise to share for Rush who has had good and bad criticism from the world of pro wrestling.

“Especially with the climate of wrestling characters now — if The Undertaker were to come out now, would it work? I don’t know. I still truly believe that if you fully commit to something as a performer and you go all in, then there’s no questions at least. Then you can go, ‘Right, I went all in on this thing and I tried to make it work.’ What I love about Lio is you can tell he’s going all in. Truly, that’s the way it’s going to work is if you just throw it all at the wall. Whatever sticks, whatever doesn’t, okay cool, I’ll just throw some other stuff up there and see if that sticks. I got all day for people who are going to try and recreate themselves.”

“From my personal standpoint, I’ve always tried to make it more of a gradual character shift. It is more of a shift than a [sudden] change because the one time I did that was the creation of Judgment Day. It was too fast, it was too much, too soon, too too too.  I was a babyface that they saw fight back from a neck surgery he’s not supposed to fight back from. Then, I’m working AJ, who’s just turned babyface. It was a recipe for meh. I realized that’s why I usually do the gradual shift on character. The circumstances were what they were and I had no choice, but that further taught me to kind of gradually do it. But that’s for me, right? Lio, I feel like he goes, ‘Okay, I’m at bat, I got to just start swinging and swinging big.’  You got to appreciate that.”

Copeland and Christian Cage are set to battle FTR for the Men’s AEW World Tag Team Championships at AEW Double Or Nothing in an I Quit Match where if Cope and Cage lose, they must retire as a tag team.

  • MJF: If You Show Up And Work Hard In AEW, There’s No Need To Burn Bridges

MJF: If You Show Up And Work Hard In AEW, There’s No Need To Burn Bridges

MJF had this to say about anyone who thinks they can use All Elite Wrestling as a leapfrog back to the WWE.

In the last couple of months to a year, the locker room for AEW has been at an all-time high in regard to morale and satisfaction, according to many wrestlers and talents backstage in the locker room.

While speaking with Ariel Helwani, MJF detailed the good shape of the locker room and who he believes was the biggest offender in the last couple of years when it came to All Elite Wrestling.

“I attribute that to the fact that there are no longer people in the locker room who look at my company as a stepping stone; they look at it as a legitimate company. We had a lot of guys, I shouldn’t say a lot, but we had some guys that came in and they were like, ‘I’m going to show up, be top guy, and go back to Vince.’ Really, motherfucker, you’re going to leapfrog me? Good luck, pussy. Not going to happen on my watch, and it didn’t. No one is nearly as good as me, Hangman, Swerve, Kenny, Ospreay, Samoa Joe. A lot of guys came in and thought they could “brother brother” themselves to the top and it didn’t happen. We no longer have that in the locker room, and it’s a breath of fresh air. I no longer have to look at anyone in the eye and think to myself, ‘This guy doesn’t want to be here.’ Everyone in my locker room wants to be here. People had to get weeded out,” he said.

Asked for names, MJF replied, “The biggest offender? I think it’s pretty obvious that’s Malakai Black (Aleister Black in WWE). I don’t know the guy on a personal level. Do I think he’s a bad guy? No. Do I think he was a mark for ‘Oh, I need my Mania moment.’ Yeah. There were a couple of guys like that, and they got weeded out. They went over there and some found out the grass isn’t greener. Perhaps, for them, the grass was greener. The majority of guys that were like, ‘I’m going to use AEW to go to WWE or back to WWE,’ you’re going to see a lot of those guys get asked for a 50% pay cut or get released. It’s unfortunate because if you show up to our company and work hard, there is no need to burn bridges. I’m not shitting on him, I’m simply telling you what I was told by the majority of the locker room about this specific individual.”

Aleister Black / Malakai Black was released from the WWE a year after making his return to the company.

  • MJF: The New Day Are Massive Stars Who Know Their Worth

MJF: The New Day Are Massive Stars Who Know Their Worth

MJF would love to see the New Day become All Elite one day.

On May 2, the New Day’s Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods departed from the WWE following a meeting with TKO higher-ups where they were apparently asked to take a 50% cut on their current contracts.

Two days later, the New Day would confirm their departure from the WWE and many talents from around the world have praised their work and hope they could work with Kofi and Austin Creed when the time does come.

While speaking with Ariel Helwani, MJF was asked the question on if he would love to see the New Day become All Elite.

“Yeah, absolutely. I don’t know what their contract situation is, but whenever they are legally allowed to come over, I think those are guys that would be incredible additions to the AEW roster. They are both crazy talented, massive stars, and guys who know their worth, which to me is the most impressive thing,” he said.

Many big names have been pushing for the New Day to sign with All Elite Wrestling when the time does come for their non-complete clauses to be officially over with.

  • Nyla Rose: I’d Love To Face Thekla For Women’s AEW Championship

Nyla Rose: I’d Love To Face Thekla For Women’s AEW Championship

Nyla Rose would love to get her feet wet back into the competition of All Elite Wrestling and their women’s division.

Despite not having a match in All Elite Wrestling since 2024, Nyla Rose has been active on the Indies and has been competing in Japan.

Rose is one-half of the AAAW Tag Team Champions for the Marvelous promotion and is scheduled to be in action for Dream Star Fighting Marigold.

During an appearance alongside Thunder Rosa on Rosa’s YouTube channel, Rose was asked about who she would like to face if AEW were to bring her back for a couple of matches, she would go on to name the current women’s AEW World Champion, Thekla.

“If AEW were to use me right now, who would I wanna face? Um, Thekla of course. Get that championship back. Honestly, anybody really…” A chat user wrote that they want Rose back in AEW badly, and Nyla responded, “Aww, that’s so sweet. I definitely wanna be back as well.”

Rose is still under contract with AEW.

  • Tony Khan Is Now An “Incredible Leader” For AEW

Tony Khan Is Now An “Incredible Leader” For AEW

MJF recently spoke with Ariel Helwani and offered sincere praise for AEW President Tony Khan, and the way he has grown into the role of leading the company.

When asked whether Khan has changed as a boss since AEW launched, MJF admitted the company president has developed significantly over the years, even while framing the conversation through his usual ego-driven lens.

MJF joked that while he may not “love” Khan personally, he certainly appreciates both money and the success AEW is currently enjoying, calling the company “white hot” right now. He also humorously suggested there is at least “an argument” that he deserves much of the credit for that success.

At the same time, MJF credited Khan for investing heavily into professional wrestling out of genuine passion rather than necessity. He pointed out that Khan could easily spend all of his time focused on his other sports ventures, but instead chose to build an alternative wrestling promotion because of his love for the industry.

MJF went on to describe Khan as one of the top minds in wrestling today and praised him for providing fans and wrestlers with another major platform outside the longtime industry status quo. He also pushed back on critics who continue to target Khan despite AEW giving audiences more variety in the wrestling marketplace.

MJF spent the interview frequently taking credit for much of AEW’s momentum in 2026. Regarding the boss, Maxwell said Tony’s biggest growth has come as a leader, adding that he believes AEW’s president has continued to evolve and improve alongside the company itself.

MJF is hoping to become a three-time AEW World Champion when he faces Darby Allin at Double or Nothing this Sunday. The bout carries added stakes as MJF will be forced to shave his head if he loses the Hair vs. Title match.

  • Could Mick Foley Appear In AEW?

Could Mick Foley Appear In AEW?

In recent days, rumors suggesting WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley is set to appear in All Elite Wrestling have been gathering pace, with it currently a hot topic in the wrestling world. While nothing has been confirmed as yet, there’s speculation that AEW are interested in bringing Foley on board.

Foley remains one of wrestling’s most recognizable names, primarily thanks to his work as himself, Mankind, Cactus Jack and Dude Love. Even though it’s been years since he stepped away from a full-time role in the industry, he still commands huge respect. As a result of his popularity, if he were to link up with AEW, betting sites online would likely see a surge in interest for any fights he’s involved in.

Why AEW Are Keen On Foley

AEW have been consistent in their efforts to blend modern stars with legends of the industry. The appearances of wrestling icons such as Sting, Ric Flair and Jake Roberts have worked well in providing memorable moments for the company.

Foley would be a great fit in terms of that approach. Unlike some former stars who rely on nostalgia alone, Foley is strong on the promo front and is capable of adding layers of emotional depth to storylines. The interviews he does continue to resonate with fans, especially when he delves deep into the psychology of wrestling and the sacrifices that have to be made.

There’s also been speculation that AEW could look to use Foley alongside MJF. The former AEW World Champion frequently references wrestling history in promos he takes part in, and the fact that Foley has a connection to Long Island and New York wrestling culture could make the pairing feel authentic.

Could Foley Appear At Double Or Nothing?

One of the main reasons that these rumors surrounding Foley have accelerated is that AEW Double or Nothing is happening soon. Since being incorporated in 2019, AEW have become renowned for surprise appearances, especially during major pay-per-view events, leaving fans wondering whether this could be when Foley makes his bow.

Although Foley continues to speak about how he’s been physically damaged as a result of his wrestling career, it’s not a given that he’d have to make an appearance in a match setting. Instead, AEW could opt to use him as part of a big storyline involving MJF or another big name. Foley could also take on a mentoring role or be involved in action backstage.

The timing of any appearance by Foley makes a lot of sense from a business perspective. Nostalgia in wrestling is still performing strongly in 2026, with fans keen to see iconic faces from wrestling’s heyday periods of the 1990s and early 2000s.

Wrestling Fans Will Be Watching Closely

While there’s no confirmation that Foley will appear in AEW, with rumors sometimes having a habit of running their natural course, it shows that his name is still a major draw in the industry. There aren’t many legends who are capable of generating the amount of goodwill among the wrestling community that Foley can, which means any form of appearance in AEW would be huge.

Whether Foley appears or not, and whether it’s a bit of a one-off or something more, remains to be seen. But the reaction to the rumors says it all, with fans not only of AEW, but wrestling in general, keen to see him return.

  • Paul Wight Reportedly Staying With AEW

Paul Wight Reportedly Staying With AEW

Paul Wight is reportedly remaining with All Elite Wrestling after agreeing to a new contract extension with the company.

According to a report from Fightful Select, Wight’s previous deal was expected to expire earlier this year, but sources close to the situation now indicate he has signed a new agreement to stay with AEW. While specific details regarding the length of the contract have not surfaced, the belief is that Wight remains securely under contract with the promotion moving forward.

The former Big Show, who joined AEW in 2021 following his lengthy run with WWE, currently works primarily in a backstage role and has not wrestled since 2024. Although he has not officially announced his retirement from in-ring competition, the 54-year-old has recently documented a major weight-loss transformation while continuing to hint that he still has interest in wrestling again before his career is over.

In previous interviews, Wight has spoken openly about wanting to remain part of AEW during the later stages of his career. While discussing a possible return to the ring, Wight recently named Kenny Omega as one of the AEW stars he would most like to work with, either as a tag team partner or as an opponent.

Wight also mentioned interest in working with Darby Allin, joking about the kind of chaos and physicality the matchup could produce given Darby’s reputation for taking extreme bumps. During the discussion, Wight referenced his infamous past angle involving Rey Mysterio being swung into a ring post while strapped to a stretcher, saying he could only imagine what a program with Darby would look like.
