Maxwell Jacob Friedman recently lost the AEW World Championship to Kenny Omega last week at Beach Break. MJF vs. Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship was supposed to be a match for AEW Redemption but got moved to Dynamite.
According to Fightful Select, MJF will seemingly be taking some time off from AEW following his AEW Championship loss and will not be wrestling at AEW Redemption.
Fightful also noted that nothing is confirmed only indicated and that there is no time frame for how long MJF will be gone for. AEW also anticipates MJF to be apart of the All In Pay-Per-View as well.
Kenny Omega will face Kevin Knight for the AEW World Championship at AEW Redemption instead of going with MJF Vs Kenny Omega.
