The scapegoat doesn’t mind a little heat.
In a video that was posted almost a month ago, the cameras show stunt coordinator Shawn Balentine preparing Jack Perry to be set on fire for what seems to be a promotional video for the future.
The last time AEW fans saw Jack Perry, he had lost the FTW Championship back to his bitter rival HOOK before his backstage fight with former AEW talent, CM Punk which would result in Punk departing from AEW before he signed with the WWE last November and Perry joining New Japan Pro-Wrestling earlier this year.
Perry is set to compete in the New Japan Cup for a shot at the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. Perry’s first opponent in the tournament will be Shota Umino, the winner will take on either Toru Yano or Yujiro Takahashi.
