Paul Wight Believes Vince McMahon Is “Pissed Off” About AEW All In

Paul Wight says that he believes Vince McMahon is pissed off about the huge AEW PPV.

According to WrestleTix, AEW All In is currently at over 80,846 tickets distributed. This would be a new record for a wrestling event. The previous record was set at WWE WrestleMania 32 with 80,709 tickets accounted for at the turnstiles. AEW All In is set for today at Wembley Stadium in London, England.

The show is the most anticipated in the history of the promotion and will feature several of the top names in the promotion. However, not everyone will make the PPV on Sunday, as even with AEW’s tendency to have long PPV’s, there is only so much room to go around on the card. This is an attribute to how successful AEW has been under Tony Khan’s direction.

One man who cannot be too happy about the record being broken is Vince McMahon, who will undoubtedly not be pleased to hand the record over to his AEW counterpart.

Speaking with Inside The Ropes, Wight says Vince McMahon is likely pissed that another company is making such history.

“Oh, well, I think he’s pissed. I think he’s absolutely pissed, but he’s pissed in a good way,” he said. “He’s the type that likes competition. He likes that challenge. Vince [has] very much animal, jungle-type mentality. Vince is a guy that thrives on competition or thrives on doing new things, thrives on being the best in his mind at what he does, so when you know competition steps up, that fires Vince up more than anything. The worst thing that can happen to Vince McMahon is to be bored, monotonous, you know? If he’s got competition, it fires him up to be better, which is a win for the fans because they’ll get a better product, and it’s good for us because we produce a better product, too.”

We will have to wait and see how lucrative AEW All In will be when it airs on Sunday evening from Wembley Stadium in London and if Warner Bros Discovery will continue to be happy with how the company continues to succeed.
