Nick Aldis Provides Injury Update On Wife Mickie James: “She’s 100%, Shes Going To Show Up Again In IMPACT Wrestling At Some Point”

Mickie James could be back in an IMPACT ring sooner then later.

Mickie’s husband (and fellow IMPACT star) Nick Aldis provided an update on his wife’s current status during a conversation with Cultaholic Wrestling’s Tom Campbell

“She’s 100 percent, so now it’s just a case of she’s just waiting for her right moment. We do have interests outside of wrestling, we have a supplement company, and Mickie has her show and the music stuff, and we have the horses. We’re also producing a show in Australia and Mickie is also a producer of the Last Match musical. She’s really just sort of weighing up where she wants to spend her time because we also have a son,” Aldis stated.

“So it’s also a case of making the best use of our time that means we have to be away from our son. She needs to be on something that she feels is valuable and worthwhile. She’s certainly going to show up again in IMPACT Wrestling at some point but, like I said, it’s finding the right time. She’s been around enough, she’s not in a rush just to get back for attention’s sake. She’s going to bide her time and make it meaningful.”

On March 23rd, IMPACT Wrestling took to their social media Twitter account to announce that Mickie James was injured and would not be able to compete at their LIVE Sacrifice event the following night. They said an update would be provided at the LIVE event.

Mickie announced at Sacrifice that she was hoping to only be out for a few weeks, but she would have to remove herself from the IMPACT Knockouts World Title match at IMPACTxNJPW Multiverse United match, instead making it a #1 contender match and replacing herself with Masha Slamovich. She also stated that Jordynne Grace would automatically be involved in the Knockouts Title match at Rebellion and would wrestle whoever won the Multiverse match, with herself being added if she was cleared to compete. She stated that another update would be provided prior to Rebellion.

Mickie James was last seen in an IMPACT Wrestling ring on the 4/13 episode of IMPACTonAXSTV, when she was forced to relinquish the Knockouts World Title due to injury.

A new champion would be crowned 3 days later when Deonna Purrazzo battled Jordynne Grace at the Rebellion Pay Per View.
