Will Ospreay Provides An Injury Update On His Shoulder Ahead Of Forbidden Door

Will Ospreay provides a simple update on his recent shoulder injury problems.

Before he earned the number 1 contendership for Kenny Omega’s IWGP United States Championship, Ospreay was out of action for a few weeks due to an injury to his shoulder. He would return to the ring and win NJPW’s mini tournament to earn the match with Omega at this weekend’s Forbidden Door event.

Speaking to Knotfest, Ospreay was asked about the condition of his shoulder and how it is healing heading into the crossover event.

“As good as it physically can be, the weight difference was for sure a factor facing Lance,” he said about his shoulder. “The sheer mass of the guy and it not being fully healed was extremely difficult to be able to hit any type of power moves, so had to go for strikes instead.”

“There is way more pressure as everyone will always want to be able to top it. This time, I’m more motivated to get the right results and have answers to his offense.”

The pair will have a rematch of their Wrestle Kingdom war from earlier this this Sunday in a match that many fans are incredibly excited for.
