CM Punk Believes All Out Brawl “Was Not A Big Deal”

CM Punk plays down the All Out Brawl.

Back at AEW All Out last year, CM Punk went on a tirade during his post show media scrum, taking aim at Hangman Page and The Elite as well as other names in the business including Colt Cobana. After when The Elite confronted Punk backstage, a brawl was ignited that ended with all parties being suspended.

While speaking with ESPN recently, Punk stated that he did not see the incident as a big deal, citing it happening in other sports over the last year.

“I don’t think what happened was a big deal…” Punk said. “This has happened in the last 10 months in hockey, in basketball, in baseball, in just about every sport. And it’s covered and it’s gone the next day. I think because I have injured my tricep and I’ve been out for so long, I think it has been exacerbated. I think it’s been exacerbated by people spreading lies about the whole thing. And when, in reality, my attitude is, well, s— happens.”

Punk has been out of action since the event due to a torn triceps. Punk will be making his return to AEW programming this Saturday on the debut episode of Collision.

Elsewhere in the interview, Punk spoke about his triceps injury and his recovery.
