One of the most exciting stories in AEW right now revolves around The Young Bucks and ‘Hangman’ Adam Page reuniting ‘The Hung Bucks’ and contending for the newly-announced AEW Trios Titles. Both ‘Being the Elite’ and actual AEW programming have hinted at the three rekindling their friendship, and partnership, but slow and steady wins the race says the turtle.
They’re not rushing into anything, perhaps for fear of getting hurt again.
Still, that doesn’t mean that Page is completely out of contention for the Trios Titles, and he spoke about the tournament at GalaxyCon (via All Elite Hub).
“I saw that they announced a Trios Championship tournament,” Page told the crowd. “I haven’t given it a lot of thought. Lately, part of me says that if I were to go for those titles, I would be teaming with the Dark Order, but I would say that if they are interested in entering that tournament, I might like to support them the same way they supported me in search of a championship and let it not be about me, let it be by them, for them. I don’t know if that’s a direct answer. I have not really considered entering the tournament myself.”
Page also told the crowd that, despite various scenes in Being the Elite that showcase the Jackson brothers texting somebody, that somebody isn’t him.
“No one has texted me,” Page said.
So who are The Young Bucks texting? Is Page lying? Is he just playing coy? Did he have them blocked and just forget about it which is why their texts aren’t coming through? Is he using Verizon and just “not getting texts” like that girl I was supposed to go on a date with, but she never showed up or replied to any of my messages?
