No One Will Survive.
Ciampa is fairly new to the main roster and though his run hasn’t been awful after being paired up beside The Miz, it certainly is different from his presentation in NXT. But, maybe we could see a change for Ciampa in the near future. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has reported that WWE is looking into a change of presentation for the former NXT champion and it could potentially happen as soon as tonight.
A former NXT Champion might be benefiting big from the new regime. Fightful has already learned of increased discussions about enhancing the presentation of Ciampa. Obviously Ciampa is a Triple H favorite, and was looked at one of the likely beneficiaries of the regime change. Among some of the things we’ve heard is Ciampa being put in more matches that showcase his ability — possibly as early as tonight. In addition, there were discussions about him regaining his NXT theme, but we’ve not learned if that was confirmed. Ciampa has received positive reviews from his peers and staff for his work with Miz, his willingness to embrace the role, and his attitude backstage since he was brought to Raw. One source said that his demeanor has been “great,” and he’s worked hard to make the most out of everything presented to him under Vince, when he didn’t even originally plan to ever be on Raw or Smackdown. In addition, as you can imagine, Ciampa’s promo with the Miz turned a lot of heads and impressed several people backstage.

As noted, the change could come as soon as tonight and it seems like at least a small push is on the way as Ciampa has been announced to be in a triple threat match against Dolph Ziggler and Chad Gable with the winner facing the winner of another triple threat match between The Miz, Mustafa Ali and AJ Styles. The winners of both triple threats will then face off to determine a new number one contender for Bobby Lashley’s United States Title. Could Ciampa be next in line for some gold? We’ll see tonight!
