Steph De Lander was the most recent challenger to Jordynne Grace and her TNA Knockouts World Title. De Lander took part in an 8-4-1 match a few weeks prior to Rebellion, the winner of which would crown a new number one contender for the Knockouts Title.
De Lander, with the help of Matt Cardona, would go on to win the match and challenge Grace at the TNA Rebellion PPV this past Saturday. Grace came away with the victory after a bunch of shenanigans that we won’t get into.
Since losing, Steph has started a campaign based around her being screwed out of the title, dubbing it the “Las Vegas Screw Job.”
De Lander also worked the TNA iMPACT! TV tapings the next day as well, setting her up for a match at the upcoming Under Siege LIVE event on 5/3.
Fightful Select has a little more information about SDL’s deal with TNA.
“De Lander tells Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp that she remains a free agent. As of now, she’s also expected to work the TNA Under Siege show, as well as the Albany tapings, and they’ll see where things go from there. De Lander has indicated that she’s not opposed to signing with a company under the right circumstances.”
TNA is heading to Newport, Kentucky on May 18-19 for two days of television tapings. De Lander is currently scheduled to work a GCW (Game Changer Wrestling) event on May 18th, so we’ll see if TNA is going to bring her in after the few dates she has left with the company.
