WWE Launches Marketplace For NFT’s And Digital Collectibles

WWE recently announced that it would be partnering with Panini on a trading card deal, and now it looks like the company will get deep in the NFT Space.

In a press release posted by PWInsider, WWE announced a partnership with Blockchain Creative Labs, Fox Entertainment, and Bento Box Entertainment to offer fans limited-edition digital collectibles. WWE Senior VP of Revenue Strategy & Development Scott Zanghellini spoke enthusiastically about the new venture.

“Blockchain Creative Labs has quickly become a leader in the space with an incredible executive team that truly understands the NFT arena and its tremendous potential. This new partnership allows us to deepen our relationship with FOX, as we continue to explore new and creative ways to engage our passionate fanbase.”

The partnership is banking on exclusivity for the NFTs driving demand. Fans will be able to store their collectibles in a digital wallet that allows purchases in both traditional money and cryptocurrency.

WWE and Fox are already business partners. Fox serves as the exclusive broadcast home of WWE Smackdown. This is Blockchain’s first venture into licensed products outside of Fox.

Blockchain has also produced NFT content for The Masked Singer. The company will also work with Emmy Award-winner Dan Harmon on his new animated series Krapopolis. It will be the first entirely blockchain-curated animated series.
