CM Punk Says He Would’ve Fit Well In The AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament

CM Punk made his return to the wrestling world back in August during AEW’s “The First Dance” Rampage Special that was held in Punks hometown of Chicago. Since his debut with the company he has been present for every show and has had some great matches against the likes of Darby Allen, Will Hobbs, and Daniel Garcia.

AEW is now holding a world title Eliminator Tournament, in which the final competitor will receive a shot at Kenny Omega and The AEW World Championship and the self-proclaimed “Best in the World” thinks he would’ve fit in the tournament well.

While speaking to Christopher Walker of DAZN, CM Punk talked about not being included in the AEW World Title Eliminator tournament. Punk admitted that he would have loved to participate in the tournament. Punk added that he believed he could have fit into the tournament somehow.

“I would have loved to have been a part of it. Looking at the field and seeing the names that that that were in it, I definitely think I could have fit in there. It’ll come. You know, it’s not my time but it’ll come at a later date. Looking at the bigger picture of things, the map that I have laid out in front of me, I know all the destinations. You know, there’s so many people I wanna get in the ring with but knowing how much time I have, I know I’m going to get to all of them people.”

Punk is set to take on Bobby Fish on tonight’s episode of Dynamite and we will have to see if Punk will be in the running for any title in the near future.
