On the last episode of Monday Night Raw, Mick Foley unveiled a new championship for WWE.
This new championship is the 24/7 Championship, which is essentially a modern-day Hardcore Championship.
The look of this new championship isn’t the most attractive but I feel like the concept will be very unique once again.
Not only is this a championship for midcard wrestlers that weren’t possibly being used beforehand but I feel the 24/7 idea coming back will work. Another thing that makes this title very special is that it is open to everyone in WWE including NXT, NXT: UK, and 205 Live superstars.
Previously with the Hardcore Championship, the 24/7 rule had some very unique moments like the Headbangers chasing Crash Holly around an amusement park, and Christian pinning Molly after hitting her in the head with a door.
Now with the new 24/7 Championship and times being more modern in 2019, possibilities are countless.
I personally think the 24/7 Championship can have matches any day of the week and be shared on Facebook Live, Twitter, and Instagram Live.
I also thought of the concept of programming being interrupted on the WWE Network.
The possibilities are nearly endless now and with AEW Double or Nothing happening this Saturday, WWE can go Facebook Live or whatever they choose and garner attention to their product while matches are happening during Double or Nothing.
