Last Saturday during the Rebellion PPV, Steve Maclin – who was not scheduled for the show – came out from the back in his wrestling gear on and a piece of paper in hand. Maclin says that he had signed a new talent contract, but the last thing he wanted to make it official was a match. This led to the impromptu battle with a returning Mike Santana.
Moments ago, Steve Maclin was a guest on Fightful’s In The Weeds show, and confirmed the news himself, saying that he signed a new contract because of “more money, and creative freedom.”
Maclin signing a new contract comes literally one day after the company made it official that Mike Santana had signed, and on the heels of Alex Hammerstone, Jonathan Gresham, and Ace Austin all either singing or re-signing new contracts with the company.
