CM Punk Believed To Have Behavior Clause In Contract, NDAs Reportedly Prevented Him From Speaking About AEW In First Promo Back

Following his appearance on Monday Night RAW, some information has come to light about the situation and some details around it.

According to Fightful Select, Punk was on his best behavior backstage on Monday.

Those that we heard from said CM Punk was on his best behavior as anticipated, and with good reason – some in WWE were told by higher ups that there is a behavior clause associated with his contract, which we’ve yet to confirm.

Punk was also allegedly hampered in his promo by certain outside circumstances.

Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that:

“CM Punk has said nothing about AEW because both he and others have signed several NDA’s regarding talking publicly about the other.”

This is also a good sign that Punk likely wants to put the stuff that happened in AEW behind him and move on.

During Friday’s Smackdown episode it was announced that CM Punk will be on next weeks show, as well as it being a Tribute To The Troops episode.
