DDT Pro-Wrestling star Shunma Katsumata is set to return from a fractured ankle he suffered back in May 2023. Katsumata made the announcement of his return while in the ring at the November 26th DDT Pro D-Oh Grand Prix 2023 Opening Night event.
Shunma Katsumata will be competing for the first time in 8 months at the January 3rd 2023 DDT Pro D-Oh Grand Prix Finals event at Korakuen Hall. An opponent for Katsumata has not yet been named as of this writing.
Shunma Katsumata suffered the injury during a DDT Extreme Championship defense in a Deathmatch against Hideki Otani on May 21st 2023.
Shunma Katsumata was the DDT Extreme Champion and one half of the KO-D Tag Team Champions with MAO at the time of the injury. He was forced to relinquish both titles as a result.
