Rei Saito On Upcoming DDT Pro-Wrestling D-OH Grand Prix 2023: This Is A Good Opportunity To Show What I Can Do As A Singles

The DDT Pro-Wrestling D-OH GRAND PRIX 2023 tournament is set to kick off on November 26th at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and will conclude on January 3rd.

All Japan Pro-Wrestling superstar and tag team specialist Rei Saito will be participating in this years DDT Pro D-OH Grand Prix 2023 tournament. Saito currently holds the AJPW World Tag Team Titles and the GLEAT G INFINITY Titles with his brother Jun Saito. Rei Saito is the only participant in the tournament from an outside organization.

Saito will be in the B Block and this is his debut in the tournament.

During a press conference promoting the D-OH GRAND PRIX 2023 tournament, Saito weighed in on how this is an opportunity to show everyone what he can do as a singles wrestler:

I’m the only man who has entered from another organization. I think this is a good opportunity to show off what I can do as a singles, not just as a tag team. I’m the King of D’s Doom.

When Rei Saito was asked what he thought about his competition, he had this to say about Yukio Naya who is in the B Block and Kazusada Higuchi who will be competing in the A Block:

Naya (Yukio) is the weakest, and I’ll smash him with a bang. The other ones are small and honestly disappointing. Higuchi (Kazusada), who I played against in sumo wrestling when I was a wrestler and lost. It has nothing to do with siblings from the sumo wrestling era. When we get to the final, I’m going to beat him.

Rei Saito will take on MAO in opening round action on November 26th.
