Josh Barnett Reflects On His AEW Debut vs Claudio Castagnoli

Josh Barnett looks back on his AEW debut match vs Claudio Castagnoli.

During the AEW WrestleDream: Zero Hour, a singles match took place between former UFC Heavyweight Champion Josh Barnett and Claudio Castagnoli.

The match was an extremely hard hitting affair, with catch wrestling exchanges impressing many fans and Jon Moxley alike, who was on commentary for the bout.

Claudio would end up walking away with the victory from the matchup, and also earned Barnett’s approval.

Barnett took to social media on Monday to once again put respect on the former Ring Of Honor World Champions name.

Claudio was all I hoped to find in the ring and even more so; arguably more than even he knows lies still within him. Fights like these are something that will get me grab my boots and travel to any corner of the globe. I live for it.

Thank @AEW for providing such field of battle for us to wage war. It was a pleasure and doubly so to do it in my hometown.

@ClaudioCSRO, we’ll meet again my friend. Keep raising the bar, because I’ll always be waiting.

Onward into countless battles.

Josh Barnett

Barnett made it clear after the matchup that he wanted a rematch, but for now that match has not been set for the future.
