Bryan Danielson Says He Is “Fully Cleared” Ahead Of AEW WrestleDream

Bryan Danielson says he is fully cleared ahead of AEW WrestleDream this weekend.

On the AEW Collision prior to AEW All Out, many fans were unsure who would step up to defend Ricky Steamboat against Ricky Starks, with the previous answer obviously being CM Punk. However, Bryan Danielson would answer the call, returning a month ahead of schedule from a broken arm. Danielson would go on to win this match.

On a recent AEW Dynamite, Bryan would note that he will be retiring once his daughter turns seven in the next year.

Now, Danielson has commented on his injury status once again, noting that he is fully cleared.

Speaking to Joseph Staszewski of the New York Post, Danielson said he “had to do more violent gimmick matches because it made it easier for him to protect his arm,” but that he’s “fully cleared” ahead of AEW WrestleDream.

“Our doctors would still not like me to do certain things, but from like two weeks ago when I had the tag match the strength in my hand is coming back way faster than they thought it would, the mobility and all that stuff,” Danielson said. “I still have to be cautious probably for the next year or so. They put a steel rod in my arm. One of the things they said is that it actually makes it more likely to break not where it broke before, but where the end of the rod is. It’s like a fulcrum for the bone to bend against.”

Danielson is currently scheduled to face off with Zack Sabre Jr in singles competition at the event.

We will have to wait and see if Danielson can topple Sabre Jr later this weekend.
