Jon Moxley on if Terry Funk Wrestled Today

Fresh after the death of wrestling legend and icon Terry Funk, Jon Moxley took to Sports Illustrated to share his thoughts as to what Terry Funk would have brought to the table in AEW and the independent scene during modern times in this excerpt:

“ If [Terry Funk] were wrestling today, I fully believe he’d be in AEW and doing shows for Revolver or BloodSport and doing Canadian Destroyers. He was doing moonsaults in his 50s. He wasn’t the type of guy who’d say the kids today couldn’t work.”

Terry Funk had spent decades refining his craft, whether it was in the NWA territories, All Japan Pro Wrestling, WWF, WCW, WWE, ECW, or ROH. He was a source of inspiration for wrestlers who thought outside of the box, such as the aforementioned Jon Moxley, as well as Eddie Kingston, Mick Foley, and CM Punk.
