Tony Khan Says It Is Incredibly “Unpleasant” Trying To Decide Who Will Be On AEW All In

Tony Khan discusses the issues with booking a show like AEW All In, primarily who will be on and off the card this Sunday.

According to WrestleTix, AEW All In is currently at over 80,846 tickets distributed. This would be a new record for a wrestling event. The previous record was set at WWE WrestleMania 32 with 80,709 tickets accounted for at the turnstiles. AEW All In is set for August 27 at Wembley Stadium in London, England.

The show is the most anticipated in the history of the promotion and will feature several of the top names in the promotion. However, not everyone will make the PPV on Sunday, as even with AEW’s tendency to have long PPV’s, there is only so much room to go around on the card.

Speaking in the AEW All In media conference, AEW President Tony Khan discussed the challenges of deciding who will be on and off the show this weekend.

“It’s a very difficult decision, and I have to make that decision. It’s very unpleasant and people want to do whatever they can do to be on Wembley, but there’s a great show coming up the following week in another market that is hugely important to AEW and that’s Chicago at the United Center. There will be a lot of focus on that show, certainly coming out of All In, there will be a lot of focus on All Out. With a big spotlight on All In, it will provide a great opportunity to promote All Out. The live event weekend is really important. We have a massive ticket gross. A massive ticket gross for Wembley Stadium, which is historic, but also one of our best gates at United Center. We have a great crowd coming in for All Out. It’s a great weekend for us to run the event in Chicago. From the live gate alone, that’s a massively profitable event. A lot of it is a bout the real estate that we’ve carved out for ourselves and now we found something special for All In and then come back for Chicago and have a profitable event. I think there will be people clamoring to be on All Out as well, but certainly the big priority now and everyone’s focus is All In, and with good reason because it’s going to be a massive event,”

Tony Schiavone recently described how AEW is facing a lot of pressure with AEW All In.

We will have to wait and see how lucrative AEW All In will be when it airs on Sunday evening from Wembley Stadium in London.
