Shinsuke Nakamura: Winning Money In The Bank Is The First Step To Becoming World Champion
Shinsuke Nakamura looks to become the world champion if he’s successful in July at Money In The Bank.
Nakamura qualified on the May 29 edition of Monday Night Raw for the Money In The Bank after defeating The Miz.
Nakamura will have the opportunity to reach new heights if he’s successful. The former Heavyweight and Intercontinental Champion of IWGP has won the Royal Rumble match and held multiple titles, including the WWE Intercontinental Championship, he never has held a world championship in WWE.
In a WWE Raw Exclusive following Monday Night Raw, Nakamura spoke on qualifying for the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match and made it clear that he intends to become a world champion.
“WWE changed my life a lot. This opportunity, Money in the Bank Ladder Match, it will change my life again. This is the first step to the world championship. I came to WWE to be world champion. I’ve never forgotten that. I will be world champion anyhow, to use Money in the Bank briefcase,” Nakamura said.
The qualifying matches will continue on Friday when LA Knight challenges Montez Ford to earn a spot in the Money In The Bank match.
