Stalker Who Broke Into Sonya Deville’s Home Gets 15 Years After Plea Agreement

The man who attempted to kidnap Sonya Deville has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Philip A. Thomas II attempted to kidnap Deville (real name Daria Berenato) in August 2020, as he broke into her home, and he had a knife, zip ties, duct tape, and other items that he intended to use on Deville.

Initially deemed not fit to stand trial, Thomas would be charged with Aggravated Stalking, Armed Burglary of a Dwelling, Attempted Armed Kidnapping, and Criminal Mischief.

In an update, Fox 13 Tampa Bay reported that Thomas was sentenced to 15 years in jail, as he pled guilty to kidnapping, armed burglary, and aggravated stalking. This sentence came as part of a plea agreement that will also feature 15 years of Probation once he is released from his sentence. Originally, Thomas was looking at life in prison on the aforementioned charges.

Former NXT Champion Mandy Rose was present during the incident back in 2020, and Sonya would briefly be off TV following it.
