Feeling Backstage In AEW That Chris Jericho/CM Punk Meeting Will Not Go Well, May Make Things Worse

There is a belief backstage in AEW that CM Punk and Chris Jericho’s upcoming reported meeting could make the situation worse.

With CM Punk’s AEW return seemingly looming, he will have to bury the hatchet with some stars. One name that is striving to bury the hatchet at this time is Chris Jericho, who is reported to be having a meeting with Punk soon.

According to Wade Keller of PWTorch, there are some backstage in AEW, who are not optimistic about the meeting.

“Among the people I’ve talked to, there’s not a high level of confidence that the meeting is going to go well, that it could make things worse, but maybe not. Maybe things will work out.

But people who have been around Punk, know Punk, know people who have known Punk for a very long time, are not optimistic that FTR mediating a meeting between Jericho and Punk is going to lead to progress.”

It seems that one of the reasons may be FTR as mediators, but we will have to wait and see when this meeting happens and if Punk can successfully bury the hatchet with Jericho, perhaps he can with other parties also.
