Since his comeback in 2020 and his subsequent capture of the Universal Championship, Roman Reigns has become an unstoppable force. The Tribal Chief has defeated every major protagonist during his historic world title reign, and in the eyes of the audience, has evolved into one of the most brutal villains in the annals of professional wrestling.

While speaking on the SI Media podcast, Paul Heyman, Roman Reigns’ Special Counsel talked about his current character and growth over the years. Heyman called Reigns a hero that went too far.

“It’s the portrayal of a hero that was pushed too far and that went too far and had accomplished so much that once he reached that level that nobody else could have attained, he felt the burden to stay at that level. The responsibilities and the obligations and the accountability of being at that level, and everybody depending on you, weighs on him to such a degree that the things he would do to retain the position on a consecutive level.”
