Mickie James defends her IMPACT Knockouts Title yet again. This time, on weekly episodic television.
Fresh off a victory over “Speedball” Mike Bailey at the Countdown to No Surrender show, Jonathan Gresham will take on NJPW star Kushida in a match that will likely steal the show.
Sami Callihan takes on Rhyno as he seeks redemption for costing Kon his match against Kazarian at No Surrender.
Mickie hit the ring with a microphone and the title over her shoulder. Mickie starts talking about Jordynne Grace wanting her rematch, and just as she was set to give it to her, Gisele Shaw interrupted. Shaw claims she can beat Mickie now because she’s not the same person she was previously.
Mickie says she already beat Gisele on the Last Rodeo, so she doesn’t feel Shaw deserves another shot.
Gail Kim comes out and makes the match for next week. Gisele Shaw gets a shot at Mickie James and the IMPACT Knockouts Title.
Cody Deaner, Kon, and Alan Angels – all known as The Design – are hanging out backstage. Angels says they don’t need Sami in the group and that he’s just trying to take the group down from within. Deaner agrees, and says they don’t need Sami for “step 6”, at which time Rhyno approached the group and says they fucked with his head and he’s not going to let them do the same thing to Sami. Sami interrupts and says he’s exactly where he wants to be. Sami gets in Rhyno’s face and he walks away. Deaner says “it looks like we have our “Step 6”.
