Teddy Long Echoes Ric Flair’s Feeling That Vince McMahon Should Be Allowed To Return To WWE

Vince McMahon has been considered a revolutionary in changing the wrestling business forever. He took a regional promotion in the United States and revamped it into a global phenomenon. However, the era of Mr. McMahon came to an end when he decided to retire from WWE back in July 2022.

The landscape of WWE has been completely revitalized under the new creative management ever since Vince McMahon left, however, some reports suggested that Vinnie Mac is eyeing a return to the company. Teddy Long claimed that Vince McMahon should come back to WWE if he desires during an interview on the Sportskeeda Wrestling podcast.

“Well, you know, this is Vince’s life,” Long said. “He’s done this his whole entire life, and to be away, I would imagine that takes a lot from him not being able to involve himself into what he’s been involved in all his life.”

“My thing is, I don’t see where there was any reason for him to step down or go away. I mean, that’s just my opinion because I don’t know the circumstances or all the facts about what’s been going on, but I just didn’t see any reason for him to step away, and if he wants to come back, let him come back. Let him be Vince. Vince is going to be Vince. Sometimes he gives good advice, sometimes he gives bad advice, but he’s also man enough to know when he does give bad advice, he corrects himself or does something about it. I’d like to see him come back. I got no problem with it.”

There have been various reports circulating that Vince McMahon can make a return to the company at will, being the majority shareholder of WWE. It will be interesting to see if Vince does come back and completely shake things up once again.
