Aliyah Says “It Feels Surreal” Being Arabic In The Wrestling Industry

It looks like Aliyah is more than happy with her position in the WWE.

Aliyah has had a lukewarm start to her WWE career. While she was in NXT for quite a while, she never held the gold and is currently a member of the SmackDown roster, feuding with Shotzi.

Aliyah spoke to Al Jazeera and was asked how it feels to be an Arabic woman in the pro wrestling industry.

“It feels surreal. This has been my biggest dream ever since I was a little girl,”

“Growing up, I would watch wrestling and didn’t really see anyone that looked like me or someone that was Arabic. I hope I could set a good example and inspire other Arab females to come join the sport that they want.”

Aliyah holds the record for the fastest win in a WWE match but since then has had little to work with bar being locked in locker rooms by Shotzi. Despite this, Aliyah is more than happy to be a source of inspiration for Arab girls everywhere.
