WWE 2K Executive Producer Announces He Is Leaving The Series

One name that will not be returning to the franchise is Patrick Gilmore.

Executive Producer to the WWE 2K games has now announced he will be leaving the series with WWE 2K22 being the final game Gilmore worked on with the promotion. Patrick posted a tweet thanking the team for his time with the series.

Soon, I begin a new adventure. Working on WWE2K has been spectacular and fulfilling, thanks to the incredible #WWE2Kdev team, supportive leaders at Visual Concepts and 2K, and especially the amazing and passionate #WWE2K22 community. Thank you all! Now, my watch has ended.

Gilmore started work on WWE Games in early 2020, becoming an integral part of WWE 2K22 and WWE Battlegrounds game development. He leaves the company with 2K22 being highly regarded as one of the best WWE games ever made.
