Another AEW Talent Contract Coming To An End Soon

Over the past week, it was reported that Cody Rhodes contract had expired and Peter Avolon’s contract is in flux. As the original AEW contracts come to an end, another wrestler seems likely to hit the free agent market soon.

Fightful Select is now reporting that AEW star Joey Janela has confirmed that his deal will be coming to an end in May. While speaking with Fightful, Janela stated how much he enjoys working with All Elite Wrestling. He spoke very highly of the company and reiterated how he would like to remain a part of the company.

Fightful noted how AEW has handled previous expiring contracts. AEW has let contracts expire, rather than resorting to releasing talents. It remains to be seen whether or not AEW will re-sign Joey Janela once his contract is up or if they plan to restructure his current deal. Janela is set to take on Matt Cardona this weekend at The WRLD on GCW live at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York.
