Bobby Lashley vs Brock Lesner is a match that wrestling fans have been salivating over, for many years. Earlier this year when Lashley won the WWE championship many fans thought we would be seeing a return from Lesner sooner than later, when after it was reported that backstage that was the match higher-ups were looking towards, but unfortunately a deal could not be made with Lesner to return to the company.
While speaking to BattleGround Podcast, Lashley was asked about the possibility of a match against the former WWE champ Brock Lesner. Lashley stated that Lesner like Goldberg will only return for a title shot.
“Brock is not going to come back for me just because he wants to have a match with me. Brock is like a Goldberg. Brock comes back for a title. So, it’s either me or Roman. I think WrestleMania would be really interesting if we saw a Rock vs Roman match, and a Bobby vs Brock match as two of the headliners.”
It is being reported that the WWE has no current plans to bring Lesner back anytime soon, even though the match between these two is definitely a dream match, the company doesn’t see it that way.
