Will Ospreay Wants To Form A Joshi Edition Of The United Empire In Stardom

During a press conference following last nights NJPW Sakura Genesis, in which Will Ospreay defeated Kota Ibushi in the main event for the newly established IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. While addressing the limitations of his United Empire, he stated there were no limits now that he is the IWGP World Heavyweight championship, he would go on to state how he would form a Joshi Edition of the United Empire in Stardom.

Ospreay would note that since he first arrived in Japan he has formed a great relationship with the Bushi Road owned World Wonder Ring Stardom, where his Fiancée Bea Preistly was making her own mark in Japanese wrestling. He would go on to talk about the relationship he had with the performers going so far to help train former Stardom champion Hoshiki Arisa noting that Stardom have the best women wrestlers in world and he wanted to give them a larger spotlight.

“There is something that I would genuinely like to do and when I moved to Japan I developed a wonderful relationship with Stardom Pro wrestling, a wonderful relationship training one of their champions at the time Hoshiki Arisa, great friend of hers a great friend of all of the roster of those girls so there is something that I would like to do and its only an Idea I would like to make a united Empire Joshi edition and hopefully bring more of spotlight to women’s wrestling as well. I do believe the Stardom’s roster do have the greatest women’s wrestlers of all time and they do deserve a spotlight I am definitely the guy to help those girls out.”

However it does seem like a strange time for Will Ospreay to do this, with Fiancée Bea Priestley announcing that she was leaving Stardom at the most recent Stardom PPV Yokahama Dream Cinderella 2021 in the Spring. Following the main event where Bea Priestley faced off against Utami Hayashishita in a loosing effort for the Stardom Championship, Priestley would announce that it was her last match, thanking the fans and Stardom management for the love and support. However as he stated he does have a relationship with the stardom roster that does go deeper than just Priestley.

What do you make of this? Do you want to see a United Empire Joshi Unit in Stardom? Who do you think would be a good fit for the United Empire in Stardom?
