AEW has different deals for some people. While some are locked down per appearance for use on Dark and the occasional Dynamite, others get the full graphic “All Elite” treatment and they get announced as the newest official AEW roster member. That treatment has now been given to one of AEW Dark’s standout talents.
Tony Khan took to Twitter to announce that they have officially signed “The Captain” Shawn Dean. Dean has been a staple of AEW Dark through the pandemic and recently formed a tag team on AEW Dark with Carlie Bravo known as The Infantry. The duo has just started getting traction on AEW Dark and now it seems big things are in store for The Captain.
While Dean has been announced as a signing, it is probably not one of the two signings expected for AEW Revolution. One has been said to be “Hall of Fame caliber” while the other will be taking part in the Face of the Revolution ladder match on the pay per view.
