AEW Preparing For Two Debuts At AEW Revolution

AEW’s Revolution is this Sunday, and it’s looking like they’ve got two surprises planned for fans watching at home and in the arena. This could have some major ramifications as one will be the Hall of Fame caliber signing and one is the last name involved in the Face of the Revolution Ladder match.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about the surprises AEW is planning and while he didn’t drop any names, he did reveal that as far as he knows, they’ll be two different people.

“For AEW there’s going to be two new people debut on the show. One will be the sixth person in the ladder match and the other will be the surprise that Paul Wight will announce during the show. I don’t know who both new guys are, but they are both newcomers and they are both two different people. That much I do know.”

Meltzer did say “I could throw out names” but he did confirm it will be a “Hall of Fame worthy” person, someone who’s been around for a while, and someone who came from the WWE. As far as the ladder match goes, while that doesn’t necessarily mean another WWE castoff, there’s a lot to take in there, as it could be anyone. Free agents like Ethan Page and James Storm are out there, in addition to the potential for guests from Impact Wrestling as well.
