Royal Rumble Favorites

This weekend another edition of the always fun PPV Royal Rumble will take place. One of the most interesting and fun aspects of this PPV is predicting who will win and go to the Main Event of WrestleMania.

The build for this year’s Rumble has been a bit tricky in my opinion. In the men’s side, there hasn’t been someone featured heavily you can point the finger as the favorite to win the Rumble like we’ve seen in prior years. In the women’s Rumble there’s somewhat of a similar case.

Men’s Royal Rumble

Daniel Bryan is the favorite to win the Rumble according to several betting sites, if we go by the odds. Bryan has been feuding directly and indirectly with Roman Reigns for quite some time, so it makes sense for him to win the Rumble and challenge Roman Reigns at WrestleMania for the Universal championship.

The second favorite according to some betting sites is Edge. On RAW’s go-home show before the Rumble, Edge announced he would compete on this year’s Rumble. A part-Timer winning the Rumble is not a far-fetched idea, with the last part-timer winning the Rumble being HHH in 2016. Edge vs. McIntyre could be an interesting program for both wrestlers.

Other betting favorites are: Keith Lee, Big E (Intercontinental Champion), AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura.

Women’s Royal Rumble

The fourth edition of the women’s Rumble has a lot of interesting moving parts as well. According to most betting sites, Bianca Belair is the favorite to win the 2021 Royal Rumble. Bianca Belair vs. Sasha Banks could be an early contender for MOTY. The only thing is that she is feuding with Bayley and I can totally see WWE extending the feud until WrestleMania and have Belair get a huge win there and challenge Banks on a later date.

The second favorite according to betting sites is Alexa Bliss and by the look of the RAW go-home show she might be the winner of the women’s Rumble. Alexa is feuding with Asuka (RAW women’s champion) and their match ended in DQ. The story is there for her to win the Rumble and challenge Asuka at WrestleMania. The only thing is that it could also be that Asuka and Alexa might face each on the next’s months PPV instead of WrestleMania and extending the feud.

Other betting favorites are: Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair (2020 Royal Rumble Winner), Bayley and Becky Lynch.
