Many people were surprised after seeing Lana brutalized on Raw this past Monday, leading to her being scripted out of her TLC match where her and Asuka were scheduled to meet Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler for the Women’s Tag Team Titles.
Apparently, according to a new report from Ringside News, this has been the plan all along.
The site was the first to report that Lana being pulled from the match was always a part of the story and has been for weeks. WWE worked to give fans the impression toward this match as they built a story of redemption over Lana. Lana got her win over Nia Jax and now she has been written off.
It has been said they have already planned Asuka’s partner and while they may know, it hasn’t been spoiled and it has been in the works for some time as well.
When they asked why Lana was built up so much only to take her out of the match, the site was told “Things happen here simply because they can happen.”
