Tessa Blanchard is currently a free agent after leaving Impact Wrestling, and many people would expect her talent to get her through the doors of any wrestling company.
WWE has previously talked about having interest in her, and there seems to be a natural connection to AEW with her father currently managing Shawn Spears and FTR. Chalk in the company’s want to continue to develop their women’s division and Blanchard seems like a much more natural fit.
However, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has reported AEW has no interest in Blanchard. Their report said that Blanchard’s name came up and they definitely understand she would be a valuable signing, but they have decided not to pursue her.
The company doesn’t deny her talent and they do feel like she would be an incredibly valuable signing, but perhaps the stories of her rumored bullying and other backstage issues have been well out there. She will no doubt end up somewhere, but as of right now AEW will not be that place.
