Elias Will Be Out Of Action For Months

Injuries are commonplace in professional wrestling and they can happen at any time in the ring. It seems that is exactly what happened to Elias.

WWE recently showed a storyline where he was involved in a hit & run incident with Jeff Hardy two weeks ago on Friday Night Smackdown. The segment drew the ire of fans. The company gave an injury update in the storyline for Elias, noting that he suffered a pectoral tear and broken ribs.

According to a report by Dave Meltzer of F4Wonline.com, it seems that Elias has suffered a torn pectoral muscle injury. He has suffered a legitimate injury. He is expected to be out of action for several months.

Elias defeated King Corbin in a tournament match for the Intercontinental Title on the May 15 SmackDown. He was scheduled to face AJ Styles in the semi-finals. However, he was written off television and Styles got the bye. He will be facing Daniel Bryan for the vacant Intercontinental Championship.
