Paige Talks About Her First Wrestling Match

Fighting With My Family, which is a movie focusing Paige’s journey to WWE is a critical and Box Office success. However, Paige has been wrestling for almost all her life.

Before Paige was the first-ever NXT Women’s Champion, she started wrestling at a very young age. While speaking to People, Paige talked about how her first match was very unexpected. Afterwards, all that mattered to her was wrestling.

“One of the girls didn’t turn up for a show. My dad was like, ‘Get in the ring. You have to fill in tonight.’ I was like, ‘Uh, okay.’ And then as soon as I walked out of the curtain and into the ring, I just fell in love with it. I was like, yup, this is what I want to do.”

She also talked about how her fully dedicating herself to pro wrestling led her to have no friends due to how people perceived wrestling.

“I didn’t really have many friends back then. I just concentrated on wrestling so much. I realized I had to get friends and I had to not just concentrate on one thing. They thought it [wrestling] was different. They think it’s cooler now that I came over to America.”
