While it was earlier announced by IMPACT Wrestling that
Eli Drake would take on Tessa Blanchard in an intergender match at the promotion’s co-promoted show with Lucha Underground, United We Stand, Eli Drake said he wasn’t going to compete in the match.
A fan tweeted that they weren’t a fan of such matches as they were immersion breaking for them. Eli Drake replied to the comment, agreeing to the fan.
You couldn’t have hit the nail more directly on the head. I have amazing respect for @IMPACTWRESTLING and @Tess_Blanchard and can see that she is likely the greatest female talent in wrestling today. Although that said, I will not participate in a one on one intergender match.
