WWE Is Making It Known A New NXT Is Here

Over the past few months, WWE has let it be known that NXT would be changing and would be rebranded. Today is the day of reckoning and the new era is upon us. So far we have seen an overhaul of the NXT roster with the brand releasing about a dozen talent including Bronson Reed, Bobby Fish, and Mercedes Martinez just to name a few. We then saw the introduction of the new NXT logo and arena.

News then broke that Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard would be overseeing creative for NXT moving forward, leaving many fans to speculate on how this would affect Triple H’s grasp on the brand. It was reported that he would not lose much control, that was until WWE announced Triple H underwent a heart procedure which will surely have him out for some time.

Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast’s Andrew Zarian recently dropped a bit of information about NXT’s re-branding efforts. He said that the NXT 2.0 name isn’t going away any time soon. Those calling the shots in WWE want to make sure that fans know this is a different version of NXT than before.

Look like WWE will be using the name “NXT 2.0” moving forward for the time being.

Many talents backstage has been curious about what else will change moving forward and when they asked higher-ups, got no answers. We will have to see what awaits the future of the brand.
