Vince McMahon And Bruce Prichard To Produce NXT
In an interview a few weeks ago Nick Khan President and C.R.O of WWE stated that NXT would be heading in a new direction. Over the past few weeks, signs of that happening have been made apparent. With a round of big releases that included former NXT North American Champion Bronson Reed , and now an up date to the NXT logo and theme music. It now looks like even bigger changes will be made sooner than later.
During Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alverez revealed that he was told by multiple sources within NXT that leadership in NXT will change when they go back to live television. In fact, the ones in charge of creative will be Bruce Prichard and Vince McMahon.
“I have been told by several people that when they go back to live shows that this will be a Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard production. I want you all to remember that and I want you to watch the show if that is the case, because I was told repeatedly by fans that Vince had to be booking NXT for over a year now, and I told you that Vince wasn’t booking NXT and you didn’t believe me. Well, it appears that very soon he is going to be in charge of NXT.”
We will have to see how this power shift will affect the brand going forward. It will be interesting to see the direction the new creative will take the brand, and if Tripple H will have any input in the brand.
