It looks like we now know who McKenzie Mitchell’s replacement will be following her Release from WWE earlier this week.
Back on December 1st, McKenzie Mitchell revealed that she had been released by WWE via a post on her social media accounts. The move came as a surprise to most, including Shawn Michaels who noted on today’s NXT Deadline Media Call that the move took him by surprise.
Mitchell noted that she met her husband, moved from Connecticut to Florida for WWE NXT, and made friends that have become family during her time with the company. McKenzie wrote:
“Today I was released by WWE. I met my husband, moved cross country from CT to FL for @wwenxt (a place I’ve always considered home), and met friends that became like family. I’ve always said and firmly believe in “when door closes, another opens.””
On this week’s episode of WWE NXT Level Up Mitchell’s replacement was revealed, as Kelly Kincaid appears to have stepped into the role. WWE has updated their roster page confirming Kincaid’s new position on her roster profile.
“If you need a hard-hitting question asked, Kelly Kincaid is the one to do it.
With a background as a competitor in the ring, Kincaid is uniquely qualified to get to the bottom of any and everything when it comes to NXT.
Kincaid also shows off her versatility on a weekly basis as she serves as the ring announcer on NXT Level Up.”
