TNA Wrestling Reportedly Made Will Ospreay A “Massive Offer” To Sign With The Company
TNA took a swing, but unfortunately they missed out.
Will Ospreay had made it known that he would be a free agent in February of 2024, after after wrestling a few matches with IMPACT Wrestling at and around the Bound For Glory PPV. Ospreay himself expressed interest in possibly coming to TNA, saying that they’re in the running for his next home.
Previously, TNA/IMPACT President Scott D’Amore made mention that (Impact/TNA owner) Anthem Sports is well aware of who Will Ospreay is, and that there is continual interest to bring him in.
Will Ospreay continually praised the IMPACT Wrestling locker room and made it known that he wants to return to the company under the TNA brand in 2024.
Will Ospreay put all of the speculation regarding his free agency to bed this past Saturday night when he appeared at the AEW Full Gear PPV and officially signed a multi year contract with All Elite Wrestling.
Will Ospreay reveals that he will be finishing up his New Japan Pro Wrestling contract – which ends in February – and then he’ll officially be “All Elite” on the Road to Revolution.
While speaking at the post-PPV media scrum, Will Ospreay admitted he doesn’t even know how he was able to sign with AEW before his New Japan deal was up and that was left to all his reps.
It was previously reported that Ospreay received permission from NJPW to explore his options with other companies.
Ospreay noted he “wanted to hear everyone out, including Impact” who made him – what PWInsider.com is told – was a “massive offer”, before he decided to sign with AEW.
Is there still the possibility that Ospreay shows up to TNA for Hard to Kill in January? That’s a question only he can answer, but most IMPACT/TNA fans sure hope so.
We’ll have to continue staying vigilant for a match announcement.
