At the August 23rd GLEAT VER. & GLEAT X AJPW Life Is A Challenge event, current GLEAT G-REX champion T-Hawk teamed with Kaz Hayashi, Suwama & Kento Miyahara as they defeated Hayato Tamura, Tetsuya Izuchi, Yuma Anzai & Atsuki Aoyagi in th main event.
After the match, T-Hawk said he would put his G-REX Championship on the line against anyone from the AJPW roster. AJPW star Shuji Ishikawa took T-Hawk up on his offer and accepted the challenge.
It was made official that T-Hawk will defend his G-REX Title against Shuji Ishikawa on October 9th in Korakuen Hall.
