All Japan Pro-Wrestling megastar Kento Miyahara is set to celebrate his 15th anniversary in professional wrestling as he will face AJPW super rookie Yuma Anzai for the first time ever on September 8th at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium 2nd Gymnasium in Tokyo.

Following the press conference today for the upcoming AJPW Royal Road Tournament, Miyahara announced that their will be a match to commemorate his 15th anniversary in professional wrestling. Miyahara then selected his opponent which was AJPW super rookie Yuma Anzai. Anzai joined Miyahara on stage at the press conference.

Kento Miyahara explained why he chose Yuma Anzai:

There is one thing, I am a superstar and Yuma Anzai is a super rookie. I think that the two people with the “super” meeting each other is important for All Japan Professional Wrestling today. Everyone who supports Japan professional wrestling will understand. He’s not an ordinary rookie, and the professional wrestlers who watched his matches feel it. They say he’s a super rookie, but it’s manifested by his flamboyance and technique.

Yuma Anzai weighed in on facing Kento Miyahara for the first time:

I am honored to have been chosen. You may think that this is a match where Anzai can work hard or that Kento Miyahara will nurture Anzai, but I don’t think about it at all, and I intend to win. It will be a high-profile battle.

Yuma Anzai is currently participating in the Pro Wrestling NOAH N-1 VICTORY 2023 tournament.
